I had my operation 3 weeks ago, now am going on Femara and having radiotherapy, i am going for my planning this week.
I have been given the option of going on a trial and wondered if anyone else has done it.
I would like to participate, but am a bit apprehensive, i think the main difference is that it is condensed into 3 weeks, rather than 4-5.
Any feedback would be most welcome.
Hi Suffolkgirl.That sounds like the IMPACT HIGH trial. I did it and it was fine. I was randomised into the arm that gave the new, more targeted and stonger radiotherapy. It seems to be the general opinion that this will be the standard rads of the future, once trials are completed. This may be some time away tho, as I’m being followed up for 10 years; the 10 year follow up was another reason I chose to take part.

Thankyou glad to hear that you found it ok, i must admit that the idea of the extra follow up appealed to me too.
I was just a bit worried that if it was condensed into a shorter period then any side effects might be worse.
