Radiotherapy and holiday

i am due to finish my radiotherapy on 5th August and was told on day 1 that I would be fine to go,and see my parents in Spain the day after I finish (6th). Today my radiotherapy nurse said that I can’t start using my factor 50 sun tan lotion straight away due to broken capillaries in my skin.  So far (and I only have 8/20 left) I have had no skin reaction and I am feeling fine. 

 

What do I do now? My flight is booked with a non refundable airline.

Go anyway…and keep totally covered up, with a thick shirt sleeved tshirt (as sun can go through clothing when thin) and stay out of the sun ? I don’t know if they think this would be OK…why not ask at your next RT session?
