This day eleven years ago I was at my local hospital, having been referred by my GP as I’d found a lump. I was told I had breast cancer. Fast forward to today - I am back at the same hospital, this time for bowel scope screening as it’s arrived in my area and I’m 55. Praying I don’t get given similar news, as I have a family history of bowel cancer. Somewhat spooked!
