Hello Ann - glad you have your results. Mine came back as lymph nodes were clear however there were isolated tumour cells in the node capsule, so not sure what that means regarding treatment. I'm seeing the oncologist tomorrow so should find out more then. Surgeon thinks chemo is unlikely so it will be radiation therapy and anastrozole for 5 years. I've picked up my prescription, but will start taking it after my appt tomorrow. According to things I've read you should have a bone density scan before taking anastrozole and this hasn't been mentioned yet! I'll second what others have said, come and join us on the other thread.

My ops Thursday, it will have been 5 weeks for me. the wait has seemed endless!
Hello Ann Cann
your results are back quicker than mine - had my op on 2nd December and results will be back for 16th. I know what you mean about anxiety coming back - I was on a high a couple of days post surgery but then came back to earth with a bump. Hope your recovery is going well - my breast seems to be more sore now 10 days on than it was initially, but whether that's because I'm doing more I don't know.
Em - my husband has never really cooked but I've just let him get on with it - my appetite has really gone and he keeps asking what I fancy and I don't really fancy anything! He did a good casserole last week with only a little instruction, and he does a good poached egg on toast!

Sounds awesome!
Everything crossed for for your results X
Hi Ann. I should so be in bed!
It it was ok really but I don't get on with drugs, that's for sure . Armpit's getting sorer with each passing day but boob less painful.
How are you getting on? It would be great if you got your results this week - what do you know so far? Mine aren't until next Monday.
Good luck for tomorrow Strudel xx Lily
Hi AnnCann,
It's horrible when the anxiety overcomes you! Try not to worry about the op - it will be over soon and you will have time to recover and rest when you get home. Wishing you good luck for tomorrow and I'll be thinking of you xx Lily
Hi AnnCann,
Good luck and best wishes for tomorrow.
Hi AnnCann,
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Good luck for your op - it will be done before you know it. Be kind to yourself and take care. We are always here for advice or just to listen whenever you want to talk. xx Lily
Dear Pam75,Helena and Lilly
thanks for your message pam75 and I hope you are recovering well from your surgery. It's so good to talk to others in the same position, going through the same emotions.
I have even been chatting to a friend of my daughter in Australia who was in my position this time last year... She has been a great support not only to me but to my daughter who lives in Australia... My daughter will be travelling over in a couple of weeks...
Thank you very much once again ladies... xxx
Dear Helena and Lily, thank you so much .... I feel so much better ..... I will be back for a coffee and a chat tomorrow, if I have time if not after my op later in the week. xx
Thanks you for your kind words and quick response. I have not had a good day despite trying to keep busy.... I spoke with a nurse last week Jane, was lovely and did mention that I could chat to someone like me...
My friend is taking me to the hospital and my sister and brother will be coming to see me after the operation and possibly take me home same day. My parents will be looking after me for a few days... I have lots of support but it's good to talk to someone who has been there and know what I am going through.
My mum is 85 has had breast cancer twice in her life, once in her late 50's and again in her early 70's and still going strong. Mum will be looking after me next week😊 And such an inspiration.
Thank you for being there for me. xx
Hello AnnCann,
I'm so sorry you find yourself on here but you are in good company. It is utterly shocking to get that news but it's good that you are going to be treated. You will find the early weeks waiting for test results etc. very hard. We all do but everything will be done to get you better. It is so common to feel all these aches and pains - it is all stress related. As soon as you have a treatment plan you will feel much calmer and you will find that these symptoms will magically disappear. I promise it will get better. I didn't believe it myself but it's true. You can come on here and ask anything or say anything - we are all here to help and support you. Try not to worry (although I know you will), you will get through this. Sending you a hug and let us know how you are doing when you feel able. Best wishes xx Lily
This is my first time here... Not really sure what to say.... I I was diagnosed with BC on 24 November and I still feel like I have been hit by a bus. I have my op on Tuesday afternoon and I am finding it hard to cope with the anxiety... Although I have family and friends close by I live alone. My head is thumping and I have aches and pains all over my body, neck, back, arms...itchy skin.. I am sure it's the anxiety but I am terrified..... Can anyone help please?
