Unfortunately a friend has been recently diagnosed and we are already dubious about local hospital dealing and want to move. Is anyone able to recommend a good breast cancer specialist or particular hospital to go to. Is there any pont in paying to go private if she can afford it - wil treatment be any different? Thanks so much.
Hi Hoping1, sorry to hear of your friends diagnosis. My breast care nurses say you can get a referral to a hospital of your choice, but be aware it may cause a delay in treatment while it gets arranged.
NHS breastcancer treatment is excellent in my experience, and you will get the same treatment as going privately.
I am sure someone who is in the know about private treatment will be along soon.
