I went to my GP last week about a lump which I first discovered in January. (I thought I couldnt feel it again so cancelled my January appointment)
At the start of May I felt it again and realized that i can only feel it when my arm is extended above my head. My GP said it was nodular and he wanted me to see a breast specialist which I would see within 2 weeks.
I have received an appointment with the specialist and an appointment for a mammogram at the same time, ive spoke to the appointments clerk at our surgery and she advised it is a one-stop clinic and tests and results will be done on the same day, I go this Thursday.
This brings back memories when I went with my mum to the breast clinic after she was recalled after a mammogram and she had tests and was diagnosed with breast cancer on the same day she was 52.
I am 42, I dont really need advise as ive been there with my mum just need to get it off my chest, the only person I’ve told is my partner as I dont want to worry anyone till I have been seen, fingers crossed
