I just tried to reply to a PM form a new(ish) forum user and got an error message to say they did not have private messages enabled. Is it possible that the default setting is ‘off’ and this has to be turned ‘on’ or could they have accidentally turned it off? I did reply to them on the thread concerned with how to change the settings, but wondered if this was a more widespread possibility?
If any one else has this problem (e.g. they can’t send PMs) then go to ‘my profile’ then ‘preferences’ then ‘private messenger’ and tick the ‘turn on’ box. Don’t forget to save!!
