Hi All
Sorry I didn't make it on Sunday good job I didn't just get in my car as I thought Ruth had put Wintney instead of Whitely and I would have gone there.
Wish I had made it but Kat came over so it was tricky what with other problems.
Glad you had a fab time I use to work in Hartley Wintney.
Hi Vanessa thanks for letting bubblyone know I am near her.
I need to meet up with you all if I can feeling a little lonely at the moment.
Bev x
Oh and no age limit... If you still feel young then you are a younger lady!
Hi Jackie/Bubblyone!
You are not out of the area at all. Bev (Beverleybuttons) lives in the Witterings. The next meeting will be straight off the M27. Probably about 15 miles from yours. Come along and meet us all. We are very socialable girls and talk about anything, it's not all boobs. Dont worry.
Would love to meet you
Vanessa
(I live in Clanfield which is half way between Portsmouth and Petersfield), shop in Chichester regularly (and love it) only wish they had a John Lewis there!
Is there an age limit?
Hi
I have followed your posts and would be interested in meeting up but I don't qualify as young! I am near Chichester so not even Hampshire either so not sure I qualify in any way!
Jackie
Hi Annie,
I'm not too far from you in a small village near Aldershot.

Hi girls,
Just thought I would give a little more info for you to find the White Lion Antiques. If you are on the A30, coming from the Hook/Hartley Wintney end, come through the village of Hartley Wintney, then as road opens out to a part dual carriageway, you will see a large old white building on your left, which is the White Lion. Slow down, and before you reach the big building, take the entrance signed to the Waste disposal place!! As you take that left, turn a sharp left into the car park. It's literally as you turn in, so might catch you off guard, but that's ok if you have some rubbish to get rid of as the road goes down to the dump! Sounds a very sophisticated place, doesn't it??! Bet you're all wondering what you have let yourself in for, but I think you will be pleased!
See you all Sunday,
Annie
Judy cannot go on Sunday now so will need a lift if at all possible ? I have texted you but thought I would post as well to save your phone bill !!! If coming from Fareham etc I am off J3 of M27 and can direct from there.Let me know and thanks for the offer.
Rachy xx
Rachy,
so pleased your coming, glad you've got a lift, but te offer still there. So pleased you are feeling 'OK'.
Ruth xx
Hi Ruth, Definately coming next week as Judy has kindly offered me a lift. Look forward to meeting you all again. I am in a very good place at the moment so nice to able to share something good with you all for a change.
rachy xx
Helloo,
Looks like theres a few of us going next week!! 🙂
All welcome, just leave a message.
Ruth xx
Annie,
I would love to have a p**s up in a brewery with you!! xxxxx Ruth
You couldn't trust me to organise a P*** up in a brewery could you!!! So sorry ladies, As ruth has kindly explained, we are meeting on Sunday 21st February, at 12 noon, and I don't need to have numbers until the Saturday 20th February, just so they can arrange the tables for us!!
I don't think I can blame chemo brain any more, perhaps I now need to put it down to dementia!! All I can say is I am so sorry for any mistakes. I have so many dates flying through my mind at the moment, and I am so tired.....
But it will be so good to see you all, and catch up with your exciting weekend away.
I have had some exciting times. Macmillan have asked me to get involved with publicity for their campaign to get Winter Fuel Payments and Severe Weather Payments for cancer patients.
I had to do a TV interview for South Today, which I just know is going to be pants! All the info I had ready to give, yet I think the only thing that is going to come across is Mike pulling a blanket over me, and our beautful long-haired persian cat, with whom the reporter was obsessed!! BUT, I also got asked in to give radio interview with Radio Surrey, and this was much more successful, and even though I only had a few minutes, I was able to jam in everything I wanted to say. So the moral of this story is; stay away from pre-recorded TV interviews! They take about 2 hours and condense it to one minute and 20 seconds, and you have no say in what goes out, wheras live interviews give YOU the power, not the broadcaster. Ah well, lessons learned the hard way!
See you all soon,
My love,
Annie
Please contact me (including newbies) if you need transport.
Ruth
Thanks Ruth. I would love to come. Rachy xx
HI, JUST TO CLARIFY.

HOPE THIS ALL MAKES SENCE.
RUTH XXX

The postcode for the White Lion Antiques and restaurant is Hartley Wintney, Hook, Hants RG27 8AE.
Look forward to seeing you x
Hi Girls,
Ruth has kindly asked if I would like the next STARS meeting to be held a little nearer to me, which is lovely!! I am so glad you had a good time at Sandy Balls; can't wait to hear.....!!
So, I have provisionally booked a table at the White Lion Antiques, Hartley Wintney, between Yateley and Hook. I haven't got postcode and I'm just too darn tired to get up and get it at the moment, having spent two whole days at the hospital for various appointments, so I will keep you in suspense as to the postcode for your sat navs!!!
Seriously, I will get the full address to you soon. I have booked it for 12 noon, and need final numbers on the Saturday 11th. I promise you it is not a yawn...antiques is a word loosely used. It is the most amazing collection of rooms holding all sorts of memorabilia and collectables you have ever seen! And the tearoom cooks wonderful grub, from sanis through to full roast on a Sunday, so you can take your pick.
It will be lovely to see you all, and will post more details soon.
Much love,
Annie XX ps..I'm getting a new boob!!! that is providing all my scans are clear. I can't believe how excited I am after 3 years of the mono-breasted look!!
The Sandy Balls week end away was a complete success! We will be booking again the next year so if you would like to join us let me know. There will be some photos on the Face book site too.
Lot more plans for the year ahead so watch this space.
Ruth xx
Ruth that photo is just soooooooo beautiful!
See you all later today girlies xxxxx

We have the opportunity of having a professional design our website. The service is a prize in an auction and it looks like we will be the only bidder.
Its worth £500 and all proceeds go the a battery hen rescue charity which I have recued hens from. Obviously not going to bid anywhere near £500 but dont want to take the p*** from this really helpful and geberous lady.
What shall we bid??
Ruth
We will miss you Lisa.

I'll bring crisps, biscuits, nibbles, loo and kitchen roll
Its a good idea to bring the following too: Salt, pepper, washing up liquid, tomato sauce, tea, coffee, squash, tea towels, foil, cling film. Shall we all bring booze????Everyone should bring wellies, brolly and a torch
What does everyone want to do about meals???
There are places (2/3) to eat on site. They do a carvery on Sunday???
Just as a suggestion we could eat on site/take away on Friday and maybe cook on Saturday (????lasagna, garlic bread, salad, naughty pudding)??????I dont mind cooking and have the Sunday carvery????? I really dont mind.
Look forward to hearing from you all.
Ruth xxxxxxx
Hello Debbs38,
Sorry for not replying sooner. You are very welcome to join our group! Som of us will be in the New Forest all over the weekend of the 29th January, would you be able to meet there. If not we will be setting a date and venue in the near future. We usually meet about every 6 weeks at a weekend for lunch/coffee.
Hope to hear from you soon.
I have PM'd you my mobile if you wanted to text.
Take care.
Ruth
Happy New Year all you STARS. Looking forward to the Sandy Balls expo!!
Hi Debs,
I wish you all the best as you progress with your treatment. STARS is a lovely supportive group, and I think we are all at different stages, most having finished treatment, but there are a couple of new ladies who I believe are still undergoing treatment.
I live in Yateley, Hampshire, so I am one of the furthesst, with most ladies living in the Portsmouth/Southampton area. Although I can't get to all the meeting due to distance, I am still made sooo welcome!!
So I am sending my love to you all, and wish you only good things for 2010. It is never an easy journey, and I don't expect easy years for any of us, but hopefully with the love and support of our friends and family, we can all get through.
Best wishes,
Jax
Hi there,
Am interested in knowing if you are meeting up anywhere as recognise some of the places mentioned in the thread and not too far at all. Had my operation and am starting chemo in next few weeks, dont know if anyone else in same stage. Anyway will keep an eye on the postings...
Thanks
Hi ladies,
Some of you may remember me talking about Karen (username = Guardianangel) who never actually came to the group but I had lots of contact with. She lived in London with her husband and 2 very young daughters. I found out today that she passed away last week after returning home to her family in New Zealand. She was a wonderful person, very thoughtful and supportive.
I will miss you Karen. Fly high little angel. xxxxxx
Ruth
Hi all
thanks for a great evening on Friday Keith and I had a great time.
Thanks Ruth for organising it and the gifts.
Look forward to seeing you all soon
Bev
Thankyou to Stars for a fab evening out and to Ruth for organising it so perfectly.
Great to see everyone having a good time
Lisa & Sebastien X
Bill and I dont think we will be able to make it as Matts open day at Lympstone doesnt finish till after 4 and its a 3 hour drive back from there.
Hope you all have a great time.
Still hoping to be there girls. My babysitter has gone and got herself a restaurant job! Only last week she started! So will have to find a replacement (never used anyone else) so a little daunted!
