Hi Sue
Thanks for your reply. I have an appointment soon so obviously will check it all out. I am probably expecting to be back to normal with no changes which is unrealistic I suppose! Deep layers of tissue have been cut through so hopefully it is just the healing process.

Hi garrycoyoteracing,
My operation was different to yours, as I had a mastectomy, immediate reconsruction and SNB at the end of March 2016.
I still do not have proper sensations on the back of my uper arm, some swelling, itching of scar and some pains from time to time. Having done chemo and radiotherapy - this likely had an effect on the healing process. I have had it checked out with my oncologist a coule of weeks ago and he does not seem to be concerned. Also due to see my surgeon for re assessment of the implant, too - just in case.
Have you thought of checking it with your treatment team?
Sue x
I am 10 months post WLE surgery and am wondering if anyone else has experienced nerve type sensations to scar site after this long? I use a small pillow when sleeping on my left side as cannot get completely comfy due to the position of the scar on outer aspect of left breast. I presume the sensations are nerve endings which have been cut during surgery but would like to know what other people have experienced.
