I am on Herceptin and Zometa every 3 weeks and also suffer with joint pain particularly in the knees but to a lesser extent in other joints. My medical team seem to think the Herceptin is to blame as the problems started before Zometa was introduced. Other than pain relief they have not suggested any remedies. I will ask if cod liver oil or glucosamine & chondroitin is something I should consider.

Thanks for your reply I will ask my onc next week when I go for the results of my scans. Hsve tried glucosamine in the past before I was dx.

Hello, Chris. The AIs can cause stiff joints and joint pain, so it may be related to the Letrozole. Have you asked your consultant about taking cod liver oil, glucosamine & chondroitin? I found that helped when I was taking Arimidex (another AI), so it may be worth a try. Good luck with finding some relief for this problem.
