I'm sorry to read you're having a tough time with the after effects of chemo.  May I suggest whilst you are waiting for the other users to reply with their experiences you give the helpline a call on 0808 800 6000.

Here you can talk through how you are feeling and the symptoms you are having with a member of staff who will offer you listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information.  Lines are open weekdays 9 to 5pm and usually 10 to 2pm on Saturday but unfortunately due to a telephone system change over it will not be open on Saturday 15 May.

Hi I've finished my treatment 5 weeks ago and struggling with my nails coming off on my fingers and toes. I'm also having trouble with my hands and feet being numb and tingling. Makes it very difficult for driving and walking. Just want to know how long it lasts does it get better or does it stay for ever.
