Starting TAC on the 19th

Feeling a bit nervous. Don’t know what to expect.

Hi Ninarees

It is understandable that you are nervous. And sorry to see you here. It is a great place for support, rants, grunts and tears as well as laughter. We are here to support you as much as we can, even if it is ony virtual. It is difficult to say what will happen, as we all react very individually to our active treatment. But I have put together links to a few threads, which may be worth exploring.

There is also an August starters thread, which may be of great support for you through your active treatment.

TAC chemotherapy

Please be aware, that everyone will react differently to their specific active treatment and the side effects listed might not be the ones you may experience. Once you have had your first treatment you are likely to find out which ones may be the most chalenging for you. If they are difficult to deal with it is important that you contact your bc nurse or treatment team, so they can adjust your additional medication to ensure you are not in distress.

Huge Hugs and hoping to see you on the August thread getting the support you need.

Good luck Ninarees, I finished FEC-T in May. It’s a long haul, but you get there in the end and once you get started it’s amazing what you can deal with ? Try to keep a diary of your side effects and how you have been feeling each day so you can report back to the oncologist and chemo nurses and they’ll be able to prescribe medication to help and reassure you.
Sue has done a great job of giving you links to different threads on here - join the August chemotherapy thread, you’ll get really good support on there ?
Wishing you all the very best
