Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Sharon
Thanks for the fighting talk 👊🏻😃
Good luck with the rads , let us know how you doing yeah !
I'm dreading rads .. and the op ..,
Can't do no sugar, but cause you've said that I'm gonna try , reading about my her 2 positive last night again and scared myself silly .. I always do it in middle of the night - go looking for answers to why I suppose and cures .. them I find none and get all worried again.,
It's my bday today and so not going to be down .
We fight on xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Zena,

Stay strong and hang in there with your treatment ,I have 2 D&C to go and then 15-20 rounds of radiation-everyday not looking forward to that and I cant have any more days off work as no more sickies or annual leave left now and need money for bills, food and mortagage. So I will have to fight like a girl and kick myself along and think positive.Keep off the sugar I dont have it ,it was hard at first but then got easier,I know you can do it stay strong and fight like a girl Zena.xxx sharon

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Moijan,

Liked your thread as I so beleive in the no sugar as I have been told the cancer cells love sugar so thats it mine are getting none !! A healthy diet-vegies and greens no red meat,so I am sticking to this as it cant hurt !! stay strong xx sharon

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Ann
God I'm so sorry , that's not the news any of us went after fighting it already. Blummin cancer is evil .
I wonder if you should seek pertuzumab and lapatinib as medical research shows this together is given without chemo and had good results . Or pertuzumab with paciltacel.
As far as cbd oil goes please pm me and I will tell you where I get it .
I've had no neuropathy at all and feel pretty normal on weekly.. I've had a bad rash but now got antibiotics diocycicline and it's clearing up .
Aveeno is good for any skin dryness too .cbd is available at holland and Barrett but I don't know how good that is . Mine is 4 mg .
Hi have told onc but not asked permission, it's my choice and am using it whatever and don't want negative input from onc as I don't believe they are god !!
Although when I told one of mine ( I have a team ) she didn't say much .
My tumour has shrunk after 2 vile fecs .. and today 7/12 in I actually felt back to old self for first time in months . So chemo must be killing cancer 😃
I still feel a lump as not had mx yet but hopefully by next 4 it will reduce even more .
Stay in touch as like W said we are here just plodding on . Eating lol 🎂🍰🍦🍭
W we've got to cut the sugar as moijan says .. so hard though as it's like I need it .. but after I've had sugar my boob and arm aches , prob in my head but odd that ???
Claire hope you recovering well from chemo Hun xxxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Anneemay,
Of course! Lovely to meet you but sorry about the circumstances. The club that no one wants to be a member of but filled with the nicest people 🙂
I can't help re the oil but I'm 7/12 through my weekly tax and so far no neuropathy. My onc did reduce my dose a bit though as my neuts were getting low.
I just wanted to say hi and that I hope you find the treatment as kind as I have so far. It's been a lot more manageable for me than EC was.
I'm very sorry to hear this is a recurrence for you and that it has now spread.
Please contact us at any time for a rant/laugh/moan - whatever helps!
Sending lots of love your way xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Can I join this thread please, as I will also be starting Paclitaxol in a couple of weeks for secondary BC.

My recent scan has showed progression, I have tried oral chemo and was very ill with them leading me to be hospitalised. Hormonal treatment didn't prevent the progression so hence this plan of action.

I originally had ER positive invasive ductal CA breast in 2002, treated with FEC and radiotherapy.

This developed into metastatic BC September 2015 in the lung, pleura and bone.

The scan I had this month shows progression to liver, left breast and axilla lymph node. There is also some suggestion of something in my uterus. Apart from some pain and discomfort in my back and right side, which maybe due to pleura effusions reoccurring following removal of PleurX catheters, I do not have any new symptoms. My oncologist examined me yesterday and couldn't find anything obvious on palpitation.

I am having a ultrasound next week to have a better look at my left breast and axilla area.

I am trying to get as much information prior to starting Taxol and I was very interested in the mention of using CBD oil for Neuropathy caused by the treatment. Where to purchase some, it's effectiveness and whether it has been recommended by your respective oncologist.

My younger sister is still suffering from neuropathy following FEC+T chemo. last year so another reason for my interest in this treatment.  Ann

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Wpt,

re the sugar, yes, its a toughiexx ...the bc cells have either 29 or 39 ( cant recall) sugar receptors on the outside cell wall, so they obviously need sugar to function.

I spoke to a fellow patient the other week who has bern told that chemo wise there was not much left she can have...she is now on a regime of No Sugar at all, high intake of leafy grerns esp broccolli and kail, high garlic, ginger, some vit C   and a few other foodies....She is doing quite well( better than she was) I think we cant risk either dropping traditional meds;  or adding that regime without checking with the drug information line first....but I know there is a tablet supplement out which contains all those ingredients....can be found in independent health food shops.  Need to speak to your onc too before incorporating new stuff like that.

good luck with the treatment plan everyonexx

Hi Zena,

a penny farthing might lift your spirits and gain you some new friends....my knees are 150 years older than the rest of me, so cycling is a nono...xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Lol 😂
Made me laugh out loud and I'm In H&M
Quick reply I was 11st 2 and lost 7 lbs on Fec - no creeping bank up 😖
Loved being 10 .5 felt like my old self before kids
My skin is so wrinkly now too like 90 year old over night .. I hate chemo ..
Yes a bike like an idiot of fashioned one .. may help if I can be arsed to ride it x

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one craving sugar! 🙂
Everyone tells me to avoid it as it "feeds the cancer" but man, I can't get enough! Easter did not help with trying to be healthy - nor do wellmeaning visitors bringing cakes or the many coffee and cake trips out in the daytime - what else to do to cheer myself up when having a low day? 🙂 hehe!
Weekly tax has def helped me to try to be better than I was. Gained so much weight on EC - 3kgs at every 3 wk weigh in 😱.
It's so hard, out of normal routine, stress, boredom, etc - the amount of times I find my head in the fridge during the day (not just to cool down the hot flushes haha!).
Some people say the weight goes after treatment but others say tamoxifen etc make it harder to lose.
I've got to go to a wedding at the end of May and currently look like a bald sausage when I try to squeeze into any dresses 😳
I'm doing the couch to 5k app 4 times/wk to motivate activity. I'm slow but it's getting me out and helping to fight off some of the choc haha!
Any food tips greatly appreciated!
Did you guys gain any weight on treatment so far?
I'm terrible with comfort eating 😳
Bike sounds like a great idea Zena - fun exercise with the family - perfect season for it with spring and summer on the horizon!
Big hugs xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

I've got dioxycyciline fir the rash and dermol cream , il let you know if it works , but as you at the end claire hopefully it will clear up soon 🤞

I'm nervous about rads and op , got used to chemo so moving on to new things is daunting. We are here if you ever need a moan Hun or just a vent about anything xx
W super dooper news about your lump , that's fab .. mine also hardly there now ,but I'm guessing mx as was seen big and my history is not good . I'm really nervous about op as they will prob take all my nodes so be left with dicky arm that I can't garden with . Used to being so active around home , I guess we just have to get used to new normal 😄
Think the sweats are from herceptin as they get less over the 3 weeks ( thank god)
So had my number 3 herceptin today so expecting a wet night 😖..
Trying to eat healthy but my cancer seems to want sugar all the time and I give in too easily.. how are you both doing food wise ????
I mite get a bike tomo , it's my bday soon and not had one for years and just got Maggie her first time be so I'm only one with no bike now .. and after news about cycling this morning thought good idea 💡 xxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi all
I have rash on my face too it's on my cheeks and looks really red and spotty so your not alone Zena😥 Hoping it goes soon as if we don't have enough to deal with. Glad your hair is coming back it would be great to have enough to ditch the wig by summer. Hope insomnia is better Zena and shame you couldn't get the drugs i have read a lot about them.
Wtp2016 Great your oncologist is so positive about treatment at least you know the chemo is doing its job.
I am so tired at the moment hoping it gets better soon but I think it can be a slow process and then radio kicks in 😏
Hope treatment went ok for you both today your over halfway now 😍 xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Zena,
Oh no rash sounds horrid! As if we weren't feeling bad enough about how we look!
I'm just back from week 6 of tax. I'm due 12 too and had 4 rounds of EC first. So 24 weeks in total. It's a slog, isn't it!
I'll then have surgery and then have 3 weeks and 3 days of RT (I asked today). The onc said that was the max but I'm sure I've read of others having 5 wks?
My surgery is all depending on final MRI. Lump feels very reduced - 10/11cm down to "can't feel anything!". However, the MRI will show if there are spots dotted around which will meant MX rather than lumpectomy. I was always told I'd need MX do I'm prepped either way.
My onc also confirmed clinical diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer which sucks. He was very positive though saying the treatment couldn't have gone any better so I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed.
Do you know what op you're having Zena?
My head fluff is def hair now! There's a proper 5 o'clock shadow!! Yay!! It's bald at the front though so not throwing the scarves out any time soon!

Big hugs to you all. Good luck this wk! Xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi both ..
Insomnia is a nightmare.. lol not !!
Didn't get lapatinib so asked for pertuzumab.. didn't get that either, as not licensed with weekly paciltacel.. gutted actually as thought I would . It did spark a debate andcthey have asked nhs England andcthey also thought good idea
To look into it .. ( good for others so that's something)
I have a vile rash all over my face , it starts day 5 and goes after chemo ( prob the big dose of piriton) I take piriton tablets but doesn't touch it at all at home .. it's itchy and hot white heads 😖😖😖😖😖😖
I don't want to leave the house now on those days as looks like I'm 15 puberty ridden teen 😒
Bloody typical I get the odd side effects!
Wicked claire .. you must be made up to have finished chemo Hun 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Xxx
I'm loosing eyelashes and eyebrow hair badly now and no growth at all on head , maybe the herceptin??
I've got number 7 tomo so 5 more weeks after that as only did 2 Fec so having 12 PAC ..
Ages to go with this rash too ..I've not taken the Dex and so sleeping much much better , but maybe I've got the rash cause of that ? Can't decide which is worse , no sleep or rash .. god close one ..
Hope you both ok apart from the sleep thing.
Let us know claire how rad goes .. I've got op after chemo then rads .. how about you W ?
Big love
Zena xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Ladies
Insomnia is awful my problem is I am so tired in the afternoon and i often have a sleep and then can't sleep at night. Feel for you both😕 Not much hair just some fuzz and hardly any eyelashes or brows.
Zena interesting to hear your pushing for labtipnab good luck please let me know how you get on. I didn't know you could take it with herceptin but will get reading we need all the help we can get.
I had last pax this morning and radio scan and planning app this afternoon so starting that in a few weeks. I am made up to finish chemo but feel too tired to do any celebrating yet! You will both soon be finishing and we can celebrate together with virtual 🍰and 🍹 and 🎈 So glad to hear you have both had lovely days with your family and huge hugs for treatment.. tomorrow i think. Another one crossed off.
Lots of love
Claire xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Evening! Insomnia sucks! I thought it might be a chance to catch up on reading etc but I just feel too tired but constantly restless like I can't get comfortable or like my legs need stretching! I'm lucky it only really lasts for a couple of days after the steroids but my mind keeps me up other nights esp when getting scared...

Ah my daughter's birthday was great thanks!! She dressed up as Minnie Mouse - it was so cute - and she was so excited! It was the first birthday that she was really aware of. I'm determined to see many more of her birthdays! We will beat this!!

I only had EC (no F) but 4x rounds which were hard. So glad to see the back of it! I can't wait until a week on Friday when I'll be halfway through T!!

Have you guys got much hair yet? I seem to have fluff but my OH said it looks grey! I don't really mind (was reddy blonde before) but think maybe it's not real hair and I'll have to wait until aftrrr T for that.

How about eyebrows and lashes?

Big hugs to you all xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hey ladies
Sorry took a wee break from internet.. needed some off phone time ..
Fab claire how amazing to finally finish 👍🏻.. how are you feeling ? What's next for you ? Scan ?
I'm ok just sweating away too W .. but whole body.
Insomnia is terrible, lucky if I get4 hours ..
Tried zopiclone, nytol , and piriton as that also makes me sleepy on chemo .. no luck though..
I'm trying to get laptibnab as well as herceptin now as blocks the her 2 receptions too ..I find out today .. also think I have 12 pax as only managed 2 fecin Fec s ... I agreee claire Fec was so awful .. il never be the same 😖
I've had some amazing days with my family and kids , so wonderful to be alive isn't it ..
we keep fighting girls and won't give in damn it !!!
Xxxxxxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

You will soon be saying its my last one! And your brilliant results will spur you on. Piriton always knocks me out and then next day am on a steroid high! Hope your daughter has lovely 3rd birthday it's a wonderful age i have 2 hormonal teenagers but wouldn't change them for the world. I am having sweats too not my head at moment so let's hope it's your hair growing back 😊 .
Hope today goes well and here's to a lots of birthday cake and lovely 3 year old cuddles.
Zena hope all goes well with you today honey
Claire xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Wow - I can't wait to be able to say it's my last session next wk! I'm at hospital now having T2 (part 1) and falling asleep from the piriton. After this I'll have 8 to go which feels amazing!

It's my daughter's 3rd birthday today. Never thought id be doing this on it... we'll celebrate properly at the wknd 🎂🎁🎈

I'm getting on and off head sweats - just my scalp really but it properly sweats when it comes on. Do you think it could be my hair trying to grow (yes please!) or early menopause setting in (noooo!). I'm 36 and had 2 periods on EC but seem to have stopped now... 😞

Lots of love to you all xxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Ladies
Wtp Fantastic news about your tumour shrinkage you must be over the moon knowing chemo is working so well. I am so happy for you. Still feeling bloated and my fingers are starting to feel tingly and numb so hope that doesn't get any worse its my last session next Wed. Can hardly believe it really at times i felt like i would never make it.
Zena Glad you are doing ok apart from sweats and sleeping. It's great to be able to function almost normally ( not that i feel anything is normal like life used to be) after FEC. I hope the cbd oil helps protect against neuropathy too and it's good you haven't had any symptoms of it at all.
Mojan I hope you are feeling better am not sure where you are in your treatment
Well it's penultimate chemo today for me and it soon will be for you Zena and Wtp. We can do this and we will come out the other end 💪
Lots of love
Claire

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

That's fab news 👍🏻🍾
That's the news I want to hear so I can imagine how good it feels ..
I also understand the dilemma of full mx .. is it safer to do that ?? I want to live but want my boobs to be as ok as they can ... but then given the choice they can go so I can see my kids grow up !!
It's such a crap postition to be in isn't it , but he guess we make the best of it and take advice ..
Anyway I'm made up for you that that tumour has been destroyed so well , thank god we we are getting this treatment Hun xxx
Im ok - loosing eyebrows and eyelashes a bit now .. slept less nights and sweats but I'm ok ..
Got 8 more weeks as weekly for me and I still only had 2 fecs ..
Hope claire and moijan ok . Much love xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi ladies!
I'm good thx! Have now had 3 weeks so 1 cycle? So far so good... I've asked them to stop giving antisickness in the pre-meds which has really helped with the constipation!
The best news is that my lump is responding really well!! It was huge and now my onc is having trouble finding it... he said no promises until final MRI but we might be able to do a lumpectomy now instead of a mastectomy. This is such a turnaround for me as they had been telling me a radical mastectomy was most likely as the skin was inflamed and the lump was so big. It's a bit scary though as I'm scared of them leaving bad cells behind. I guess I need to trust the experts!
Claire - you must be nearly done now?
Zena & Moijan - do you have many more left?
Good luck with this week's zapping!!
Xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi ladies ,
Just awake at silly o'clock due to dexamethasone from chemo today .. taken a zopiclone so if I suddenly drop off don't worry 👽😴

Weekly are going ok and just horrible red rash on my face that comes and goes .. exhausted after doing stuff but that's ok..and sleeping very badly.
And crazy hot flushes and vile night sweats from herceptin.
Sorry yes claire herceptin ( 2nd today ) all ok apart from sweats 😰
Glad cbd came , I've had no neuropathy at all. Take drop every 8 hours I think, I do morning and night as up by my bed .
Il look at other stuff you mentioned 👍🏻
How are you feeling ?
Wtp how are you Hun ?
Moijan my dear girl , lovely to see you 💚 I'm sorry you've been feeling rubbish I hope you feel better after these nice days we are having . How is your treatment going ? Xx
Mother's Day great , hope you all were spoilt and got out a bit ?

Zopiclone is pants I'm wide awake at 2 .. getting piriton tomorrow..
Much love
Zena

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Zena,

have been away, so missed your last few posts. Thank you for the cbd oil info.

getting back to your bum...,was thinking...just a few thoughts here....if the soreness is outside, have you tried

applying vaseline every time? The other thing is...and im not quite sure where I heard this.....but it makes sense to me, so you could try it...bepanthen nappy rash cream 'apparently' numbs the area as well as being a really good barrier cream.....the soreness you are getting, is akin  to a nappy rash so it makes sense to use baby wipes round that bit  or baby oil on cotton wool,  to clean rather than loo paper.....   If the soreness is inside...check with the doctor before trying this,  but maybe try haemorrhoid cream sometimes.....you might have some which are getting enflamed by everything

sorry if you already knew all this xxx

(and I wish id mentioned it all earlier, but I have been feeling a bit overtired......am better this evening.)

hope you are feeling a bit better tooxx

Moijan 💜💜💜

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi ladies
Hope your both ok thinking you are having treatment today so hope it goes well. Zena my cbd oil arrived so going to take some tonight i am reading so much about benefits of cbd and gmaf/bravo yogurt my head is spinning. Been for Indian head massage today at hospital and booked in for reflexology and massage next week. Got to make the most of the few perks of this horrible journey. Hope you both having minimum side effects and Zena your bowels are getting better
Love 😘
Claire

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Evening! Nice to meet you too Zena 😊
I feel your pain re bum issues - I've had really bad constipation following every EC - gave me pikes, bleeding, lots of lovely things like that! Then first tax I had it again for 2 days before it flipped and went the other way! The nurse didn't give me any antisickness for the second weekly tax as she said that is probably the thing causing the constipation. So far it does seem a bit better... fingers crossed!

Claire - yep, bloating is horrid! I feel so swollen and don't know if it's the steroids or constipation but combined with my extra kilos, I'm just feeling massive and uncomfortable. Boo!

Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow!! Hope you all have a lovely restful day with plenty of treats xxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hope you had a good sleep Zena and rash is clearing up. I am really bloated do either of you get that? Package not arrived yet but got email to say it's on its way. Have been looking at Gmaf online too but so much info it's hard to know if it's good or not. Sorry you still dealing with bum issues the drugs seem to affect us in different ways. Do you have Herceptin too?
Hope weekend is kind to you both xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Sorry - I don't get email alert for this thread so missed all that ..
Hi wtp nice to meet you xx
I've just had a zipiclone so getting dosey , but yes PAx or PAC every week for 12 weeks so far much better than Fec ...
my bum has been horrendous.. first constipation then took to many laxs so on the loo every hour for 2 days .. so stopped taking laxs and now no pooooooofor 2 days andcstarted taking lax again .. it's like a joke 😂
I was bad day 4-5 - chemo like tired and felt crappy ..
But ok apart from that .. o got a rash on my face - onc gave me aveeno ( on nhs , nice one ) so that's getting better..
Off to bed now -
Lovely to have you along with us wtp
Hey Claire too Hun hope you ok?
Did your package come yet ? Xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

So glad you had your treatment we don't want any delays it's countdown to finish. I hope you find that the weekly seem to go quickly no sooner having bloods and then treatment and the next one is here. Surgery was ok i had a diep reconstruction with mx and reduction to other breast so it's a big operation and i did feel awful for the first 2 days but by day 3 felt loads better and was home after 5 days. Great news your getting good results from chemo and hope you feel well today and can enjoy the sunny weather with your daughter. I have 2 teenagers so less energetic but more hormones!
Zena hope your ok and got some treatment for your bum issues 😑
Love and strength xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Claire,
3 to go - yay!! You're nearly there! At least for this part of the journey.
How was the surgery? I'd mentally prepped for it on Dec but then my plan got swapped around to start with chemo so I'd almost forgotten about it.
Luckily the doc agreed to me having chemo today so I'm 2 down, 10 to go. Once I get under 10 I'll feel like I can properly start to count down!
Feeling ok so far, just sleepy from the piriton.
Have a lovely evening! Xxxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi wtp2016
Hope you managed to get your treatment done today. I too am finding weekly much easier than Docetaxol and FEC. Had my 3rd yesterday so 3 to go as i already had 1Docetaxol so only need 6 weekly. I have had surgery and immediate recon for IDC Grade 3 with lymphs involved. Radio herceptin and then hormones. It never seems to end! I lost weight with FEC but am gaining rapidly with this regime. Bloated and hungry all the time. Nurse said it's very common but it's still depressing as if we haven't got enough to deal with. Right going to look at holidays now to cheer me up! Good luck Wtp2016 and Zena who is also having treatment. Day by day we are getting through this 💪💪
Claire xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

hi Zena , I wasn't to bad I the menopausal in 2009 and took this 2016 do I don't get any symptoms now and I don't need to take any of the medication, I'm wishing you all the best and hope your bum isn't to bad 😂❤️

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi got my fingers crossed for you , yeah I put on weight to by week 12 I was a size 12 🙈🙈 and I'm finding it hard to loose it xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Thanks Lane! ☺ well done for getting through it all x

I'm at the hospital now for week 2 but my white blood cells had dropped a lot so they might send me home... boo! Just waiting to hear from Doctor. Fingers crossed!

Silly question in the grand scheme of things but did anyone else put on weight? I was gaining 3kg every 3 weeks on EC and had hoped to stall it with tax. I've been much more active and strict with my diet this week but yet still gained 1.5kg in a week - it's madness!

Sorry, I know it doesn't really matter but it's bringing me down a bit (combined with the baldness and no eyebrows).

Thanks all xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi I finished my 12 weeks last September and i was really okay muscles a bit sore towards the end but plenty hot baths and a bit of peripheral neuropathy in my finger tips , hope it goes well for you to wtp2016 xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi ladies,
Can I join your thread?
I'm having my 2nd weekly tax tomorrow. I had 4x EC and will be having 12x weekly tax. I found the first bit too bad - much better than EC! Was starting to feel really sick on that despite never throwing up!
I'm having surgery after chemo due to a very large (11cm), aggressive tumour and node involvement. It's IDC with a query on IBC as the skin was very inflamed.

I'm 36 with a 2yo daughter. After chemo and surgery I will have RT and pills for 5-10 years. My CT scan was clear so I think im stage 3 but finding docs reluctant to commit to anything until after surgery.

So far chemo is working well for me. My boob nearly looks normal again! Hoping to have another MRI nearer the end of chemo to check.

Love the holiday talk! I'm desperate for one. So fed up with this now and missing "normal" life so much. Also feeling thankful for the treatment and support.

Sending you all lots of love and virtual hugs fellow fighters xx

P.s. Zena - I'm so with you on the bum troubles!! As if this wasn't bad enough!! 😂

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

🍸🍹🍻🏖🌞xxx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Claire it will soon be over and you'll be able to enjoy life again . I found that part difficult at first until my appointment with surgeon after treatment and she sat and explained absolutely everything to me and tolls me I did not have c....r anymore tthen I burst into tears and she kept telling me it was gone I was free of it and I should look at having the chemo and rt as an extra prevention , you will be sitting in the sun with your glass of wine before you no it , take care Claire xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Thanks for the info Zena I am going to order some as my fingers are sore.
Lane Thanks for the encouragement it has seemed to go on for ages because i had surgery and recon before chemo and then will have rads and Herceptin. I just can't wait to go on holiday and sit in the sun with a lovely glass of wine 😀 Glad you are feeling positive after treatment xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi Claire , yes I'm so so happy to be finished with it all I felt that the most of my time was at the hospital as I went for rt Monday to Friday , but I'm so grateful to all the staff but also glad it's finished with , stay positive Claire and you to will be treatment free soon take care xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi zena I'm sure you'll do great take each week as it comes and try to think of the future when your treatment free . I found my 12 sessions went really quickly then radio went in quick as in went Monday-Friday and I rang that bell it felt great , hope your doing ok x

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Il pm you claire as someone gets it for me so il see if I can get link ..
Pains in chest were really bad last night - like sharp stabbing in upper lymph area ..

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi I'm so so grateful to be finished and no I'm not on anything now , I felt it all went very quick which was probably a good thing, just trying hard to get back to normal as much as possible xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

I bet you are very happy to finish treatment Lane it just seems endless all the worry stress and feeling lousy. Are you on any other treatments now? Zena the bum thing sounds awful i had probs with constipation on FEC. I was on gcsf with FEC and i felt pretty lousy but now i am on weekly i don't have them. I only have steroids in my line along with piriton and an antacid before the chemo. Apparently it's a very small dose incase of a reaction to chemo. I have lots of strange pains sometimes in my chest and then my me know seems to swell up after every chemo. I have lymph node involvement so always worrying about the aches and pains. I have been looking into cbd oil so would be interested more info on a reputable supplier. Hope it's helping you Zena x

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

I was started on fec at beginning had 2 doses of it and ended up in hospital after each so oncologist changed me to weekly and that was better, my neuropathy started towards the end , I do hope your oil works for you zena x

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Forgot about the bum thing but I think that is left over from what vile Fec did to me anyway and I've not had a chance to heal properly x

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

il post link for taking it with paciltacel and find out where my friend gets the oil .

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi zena75, yeah it's more annoying than anything else and the tablets do help, I hope you get through yours with no other side effects as if we don't have enough going on , I'm just so happy to have finished treatment xx

Re: Starting weekly tac, any side effects ?

Hi both ,
The neuropathy sounds very Annoying but amiliyltrip is ok stuff so I guess that's ok as it can be 😌
Yes my sensative bum is now my nemesis.. taking zomorph but that makes me constipatied so now on Laxs - big circle of SEs all the time it seems ..
I'm not on steroids ?? Are you on gcsf Claire ?
I am having 12 x paciltacel and number 3 on Thursday.. no neuropathy yet .. only my said sore bum ..
I have had a pain just above my bad boob in upper chest today - quite a sharp stabbing pain .. I have lymph nodes involved and worried it's one of them flaring up . It feels like that ..
might call gp tomorrow. Also need to try for ds1500 form for pip . As I've been so debilitated with all this.
Still waking up in the night for hour or 2 and xopiclone didn't work 😞..and hot sweats come over me a lot but just manageable .
Glad you all ok both .
Zena xxxxx
