I have had 4 out of 6 cycles of Taxotere, Cyclophosphamide and Herceptin. I developed edema last week and have gained 9 lbs in 10 days. My knees are like an elephants and my calves, ankles and feet are swollen up and tight.
My oncologist has stopped the Taxotere and Cyclophasphamide. My CT scan showed a good response from the 2 lung lesions and partial response in the liver mets. He said it was good to get to 4 cycles and now he is swtiching me to Zeloda and keeping on with the herceptin.
I am on Aldactane to try and help the edema but have not noticed a marked increase in trips to the loo for a wee!
Anyone else out there had the edema or is on the same regimen as me? Is Zeloda easier than Taxotere?
