Support Group for 'Secondary BC' at Marsden, Sutton

Hi,
It seems that there is no support group for those of us with Secondary BC being treated at the Marsden, Sutton. Anyone out there interested in either meeting up or finding out if one could be started up if enough interest/demand?
I know at least me and 2 others would be!

Just wanted to make sure you were aware of our new daytime live chat service which may also be of support to you, here are the details:

‘As well as the Tuesday night secondary live chat many of you have asked if we can run a live chat in the day. So on Wednesdays 11.30-12.30 we are now offering a new daytime live chat for women with secondary breast cancer. The sessions run in a similar way to our Tuesday evening live chat with a facilitator and clinical nurse specialist. We hope you can come along to talk to others affected by secondary breast cancer in a private and safe place.’

Hi Lucy,
Thanx for this - I was aware but Weds aren’t a good day for me. I did join in on Tues last week for the 1st time and found it very useful.
I would like, ideally, to be able to meet people ‘face to face’ but can’t find any support groups locally - hence my post.

Fran have you talked to the Secondary BCN at Sutton Marsden about the possibility of starting a group there? I am under that hospital but live about 20m away. I am there for treatment every 3 wks, have been doing this for years now.

Hi Dawn, Thanx for your post. Yes, she and I spoke about Support Groups but she is there on maternity leave and will be leaving at sometime soon. Thought I would at least see if any interest is out there so it can perhaps be addressed by other BCN when she returns.
