Not a good week as I have put on 1.5 lbs. I have been walking and have been to the gym twice but it makes me hungry!! My Onc now says that I can go back on Aromesin so fingers crossed this may help to cut my appetite a little.

Lipobind is, according to the company, a fibre complex product, of organic plant source made with 100% natural cactus leaves, which binds to undigested fats in the body. I’m afraid I don’t have the answer to your question of compatibility of Lipobind with tamoxifen. It is a very interesting question and one for the oncologist I suspect. I to would certainly be interested to know myself.

I put on a stone during treatment which finished in April and have half a stone to go to get to my pre-diagnosis weight which I can't seem to shift, I'll loose a pound in 2 weeks and then put it straight back on so I'm thinking of trying Lipobind for a little extra help.
Does anyone know if it's safe to take when you're on Tamoxifen?

Well after a terrible last week weigh-in following my holiday, I’m please to say a 3lb loss this week. That’s rid of the 2lb I put on, plus an extra 1…bonus! So the secret is to cycle from London-Southend once a week! Glad to be back on track and I have 3lbs more to loose then I hit a milestone weight…I would like to do it in the next 2 weeks. My incentive is that I have vouchers for Next and refuse to buy anything (even in the sale) until I can fit into their size 14…..and I really need new clothes! I’m currently ignoring the fact that my tummy is rumbling for its breakfast.

Christiane – as you have very accurate scales let me know if you lose a 1/4 lb, it’ll be no problem to enter it.

Can you count me out this week, I'm confined to bed with a nasty chest infection and have lost 3 more pounds. Guess when I'm up and about will put back on 2 stone!

Still the same at weigh in - 13st 7lb. At least it's static and not a gain because I have been really naughtly this week. I have been out for lots of meals, chocolates, cakes etc. - all the wrong things - and I haven't gained an ounce. In fact I am slowly losing, but it doesn't show on your chart because I send it to you in stones and pounds. But I have bought some more scales which are very accurate and they measure in quarter lbs and I am slowly losing a quarter pound at a time. So I have been slowly losing throughout in quarter pounds.
I have not been very good with food and excercise, but what I find is working for me is that I now put saccharine in all my hot drinks. I have a very sweet tooth and so using a sweetener is obviously making a slight and regular difference.
Just thought I would share this with you.
I'm sorry but I forgot to post on Wednesday. I have lost 1lb this week and it was a struggle. However, I had my 3 month check up with the surgeon yesterday and he told me that I could try going back on Aromsine (sp) from Tamoxifen. Hopefully this will help in the weight loss department?

I've put on 1lb and back to 11st 11lbs. It just took a few bites of chocolate cake and sheer laziness on the exercise front. Damnation!
Having been away on holiday, all my good intentions went to pot…it was a time of excess and overindulgence. The result = a gain of 2lb’s. It could have been worse if I hadn’t swapped a mega burger for a chicken salad!
But to make up for it I will be cycling from London – Southend this Sunday, that should hopefully shift those extra few pounds!
Sorry to hear about the fall - this exercise lark is high risk don't you think 🙂 Hope your recovered from the shock.
I will send weight on Wednesday - is that the date most people weigh in? Hopefully I can try to get some exercise in too by making my girls come with me, it's somehow more fun when not on your own. It'll do them good too.
Been down caravan again for wkend but tried to be good, so I stayed the same, it's beta than a gain.
Must do some more exercise but feel so tired and listless been a down today a bit tearful. guess its the arimidex.

Welcome to the gang. I want to lose a stone but am struggling on Tamoxifen. We will get there. I weigh in on a Wednesay morning. I went on a 40 minute walk today with my daughter who was on her bike and guess what....yes I fell over. I felt a right prat but luckily no-one saw me. Result - one cut knee and a bruised ego.
Could I join please? I was dx in April and have my 3rd course of epi chemo today. Since starting the chemo I have put on 5Lb which I know doesn't seem much but it is only the start of 5 years of drugs that sound like they soak up and cling on to any fat that passes your lips!!
I have weighed myself this morning and I am 10st 2Lb - I need to lose at least 1st but my main aim at the moment is not to put any more on as I'm running out of clothes that fit:)
Weigh in again...lost 3lb, I am writing my foods down everyday and I think that has helped. I have cut out Carbs too, it seems to be working. I am out on my bike twice a week too, it seems to be helping. I have a long way to go but I'll get there as you will too. Keep going all of you.

am proud to report some weight loss - for the first time! 2lb. Oh boy, it's hard to keep it off. The heat makes me dream of ice cream too.

My problem is that I am very overweight but various health issues mean none of the usual exercise regimes are possible.My trampolining ended with my breaking a leg!So any recs for a diet which will promote a slow steady weight loss with little exercise.I am only 5ft 3 and weigh about 13 and a half stones 😞
Another ‘steady’ 1lb loss this week for me. I’m throwing myself into exercise at the moment and can see a milestone weight goal within reach…hooray! But I too am away on holiday next week. I have good intentions for the week but am likely to have my guard down when it comes to dieting!….still fingers crossed I don’t put too much weight back on! Will report back in 2 weeks!

Dissapointed this wk gained 2lb, but to be expected went to caravan last wkend so started birthday celebrations early with a lge cake nd wine from friends.
Its my b'day Today and my husband has just brought me in lge box maltesers 4 cruchies bars and healthy plums, lol

Sorry not to have been in touch. Life has been a bit tough, not just bc but other issues and I've just pigged out again. But tomorrow is a new day and I do think weight loss is a mental issue and at the moment things are difficult. I don't know if I can do it, but I'll give it my best shot.
1 pound lost this week and i had whole nut choc bar last night! Off on the Odyssey adventure in Scotland for a week so will miss the weigh in next Wed. Probably come back heavier than starting weight.

This time I am feeling quite motivated. I am waiting for blood test results for underactive thyroid and if it comes back positive then it may have some bearing on my weight gain (here's hoping). Also, wating for scan results on my feet as my consultant believes that the chemo has caused some problems with the soft tissue and nerve endings. I would really like to feel heaps better....onwards and upwards!!!

The weight loss chart has now been updated on the website sent to your PM’s, in case anyone wants to view it. Altogether, we have lost a total of 12lbs in the 2 weeks since we started…not a bad effort I’d say! Perhaps by next week we could make it over the stone mark!

Well done Browner and Sunset and all the other ladies who've lost weight. I"ve put on weight (1lb) - i can't believe it - so frustrating!! I've had one big lapse (bought cake and biscuits for the neighbours coming round but ate most of it myself) - but otherwise have been very healthy - yogurt and cereal for b/fast, sandwich for lunch, healthy dinners - maybe it's portion sizes - any tips welcome!! Am walking a lot but can't do any more exercise as I have shingles and can't wear a bra.

I’m another steady 1lb. Doing loads of exercise and really enjoying it too and I do seem to be toning up nicely. The weekends again are my downfall (KFC - very naughty)…but this weekend I’m going away with some friends who are very health conscious, so they will hopefully keep me on track and away from the demon grog!

Haven't lost weight this week. However, been to gym 6 days out of 7 and forgotten what cake and chocolate taste like.
My health is much more important to me now, I took it so much for granted before.

Well done to everyone who's lost weight. I haven't - I was diagnosed with shingles on Monday. Can't wear a bra, don't feel like doing any exercise. Was supposed to be on holiday but the GP didn't think it was wise. Ate masses of cake yesterday - real comfort eating stuff!

I have secondaries and it seems ridiculous thinking about weight loss.
I was diagnosed in 2000 and was 10 stone. I had chemo, double mastectomy, more chemo and rads, stabilising at about 9 stone.
Was misdiagnosed initially and had psychological issues because of this.
In the following 2 years i put on 6 stone; as a result of tamoxifen and depression (comfort eating).
Since my secondary diagnosis (still on hormonals), I have put on a further stone.
I desperately need to lose weight but obviously cannot start anything drastic.. Julie

My weight has been a constant battle all my adult life, before bc I went to slimming world and lost 3st I stopped going when I had my diagnosis, losing weight didn't seem important in the scheme of things. Now I'm on tamoxifen and I feel that the weight is piling on. I got on the scales on Tuesday for the first time in months and I've put 2 stone on. I don't want to go back to slimming world but hopefully if I can report to this thread once a week I might feel abit more motivated. Regards to all. Olwen
