Surgery on Monday

Thinking of you as Monday approaches what sort of reconstruction are you having?
I had a DB mx 2.5 years ago with tissue expanders inserted and I got myself on a plane back to the UK for my son's wedding 2 weeks later! Good luck we are all here for you!

Good luck Helen.  So sorry you have been landed with this but you are facing it very bravely.  I am having mx and recon in about a month so would be really interested to hear how you get on and any tips you have after the operation.  Best wishes. Xx

Hi Helen

Just wanted to say best wishes to you. Hope all goes well for you and that you will be reasonably well recovered for your birthday. I had lumpectomy so can't really advise you except to say that I found I was in some pain for about 2 days after and I found the trick was to take the pain killers regularly, even before it starts to hurt.

Hi all...

Well the day is now fast approaching I am booked in for my masectomy and reconstruction this Monday , I am a Grade 3 and Brac2 so Masectomy will be the option for me , so that I can lower any reoccurance. I guess this will be the first step then waiting to see what the test results come back after the op , which is what I am most anxious about. It's my 40th Birthday in less than 2 weeks did not think I would be in this situation ... Good luck everyone xxx
