Suspicious area, probably Vascular?

So pleased you've finally got your lump removal,  I know how much you wanted it & hope it is nothing to worry about.  I had my WLE on the 7th & was meant to get the results today, but had a phone call in the morning to say my results weren't ready as the pathology department was very busy, lots of samples to test, etc....I did ask, does this mean it's bad news & she did say no just the above.  I did say I'd had enough now & was feeling frustrated.  I now have to wait until next Weds to hopefully get the results.

I just wanted to post another update on my saga, I had returned to the surgeon as on receipt on my MRI results I just wanted some clarification on the images. She has finally agreed to remove the lump as an open Biopsy, and have it properly looked at. She was very distracted during our consultation as her own mother was in to see a different consultant, and I think she only agreed to get me out of the room, but I had the best nights sleep in over 3 months, just knowing that it is coming out. The lump hasn't really changed too much, still tender, but the dimpling has become more pronounced and is noticeable without me even flexing now. Surgery will be in a few weeks, as I have a half marathon to complete on 14th Sept, but hoping to get in soon after, and be able to put this all behind me. Thanks again for you continued support, your strength has seen me through many dark days. i'll update on my final path report and surgery recovery, for anyone who is following x

Hi, thanks so much for your reply, and so sorry to hear you have tested positive for cancer, I can't imagine what you're going through. Hopefully you will have a clearer picture of what you're dealing with tomorrow. I am hoping that the dimples are a result of the fna, so will leave it a few weeks before I annoy my go again and see if it settles. Thanks for the reassurance. My husband had noticed a larger indentation in my lower breast when I'm lying flat with arm raised, don't ask what we were up to lol, but he says it's really noticeable and only on the dodgy boob, but I figure they would have looked at the whole breast in the mri films so surely if it was to be concerning, they would know?!?!

Sounds like you've been through the mill with all the tests. I also have a palpable lump in left breast and have had mammogram, ultrasound, 2 biopses & now an MRI. Unfortunately, they gave apparently found a very small ?? Cancer on one of the biopsies, so will found out tomorrow what the mri says. The mammogram didn't show much but the scan showed something suspicious, hence the biopsies. So, not exactly the same as you, however, I did get a dimple after my core biopsies that the Dr's did say could happen following a biopsy. Hope this is a little help. Good luck xx

I have a 2cm lump in my left breast, and have recently noticed the appearance of 2 indentations just over the lump, after 2 inconclusive Ultrasounds with FNAs, a Mammogram which all showed nothing,  I have had an MRI and they still can't give me an answer, there is no definitive lump showing up, which is odd as it is palable to all who have examined me, but they have identified an 'unusual' area on the scan, they say it looks vascular and probably nothing to worry about, recommendation is to repeat MRI in 6 months........

Can anyone advise on Vascular conditions which could cause lump and dimpling and also if its ok for me to wait 6 months before being reviewed again?  I was thinking about pushing for a core biopsy, but i have had 2 FNA's so am not sure if it would yield any further conclusions.

My final question is, i noticed the appearance of the dimple after my 1st FNA, not sure if it was there beforehand, but noticed it about 3 weeks after for the 1st time, could this simply be cause by the procedure and not related to the lump at all? it has got deeper over the past 2 months and another indentation is starting about 1.5cm beside it, but i was just curious in case the dimple could in fact be due to the fna?
