Re: Swollen and hot reconstructed breast

It sounds as if you have been overdoing it with the DVD! Especially if you are still on Chemo. Do you have a temperature at all? If so definitely phone up your BCN nurse for some advice.

Take care

Swollen and hot reconstructed breast

I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction 12 weeks ago today. I had 10 lymph nodes removed on the left, none on he right. Totally unremarkable recovery, I've been exercising as much as allowed with no problems, until today. I've just done a workout DVD and gone for my shower and my left breast is hot and swollen. I haven't noticed any difference in it apart from some mild discomfort until today. It doesn't particularly feel like a seroma. Is this lymphoedema do you think? Should I phone my breast care centre or just wait and see if it reduces on it's own?
