Hi Ladies
I just wondered if anyone has experienced radiation pneumontis. I finished radiotherapy about 6 weeks ago and over the last couple of days have experienced what I thought to be a common cold/cough however my cough is getting worse, my chest hurts (I have never experienced a cough like this) and I wondered if anyone knew what the signs are as I am worried and its the bank holiday weekend so I cant speak to a doctor or my oncologist.

my onc told me that i may get a bad cough, either during or after rads, because it can sometimes effect the lungs… try having a spoonfull of honey every hr or so, may just help xx

I went to see my oncologist yesterday, turns out I have a really bad chest infection, he was not happy with me at all that I didnt go to a drop in clinic or A&E over the weekend 
never mind as I’m starting to feel more human again now, I guess the chemo plus rads = knackered immune system ehh.
