No thaw here for over 4 weeks now! Enjoy your trip Olivia. Hope YOUR aeroplane is one of the ones flying.
The person below me is feeling a wee bit sad as both her daughters are spending their Xmas elsewhere. One in Brittany and one in Glasgow. But as long as they are doing what THEY want I am OK about it.
Fingers firmly crossed for you Olivia. Have a wonderful trip.
The person below me is hoping the thaw may set in.
Enjoy! A job I am no good at
The person below me is packing for Switzerland and hoping Heathrow is operational.
poor woman! and I understand the walking like a duck...I have a broken toe so walking on ice makes it really difficult!!!!!
the person below me has to wrap up presents tomorrow!
I agree tha walking in the compacted snow is just difficult and quite scary.
The person below me has just heard that a neighbour who lives on her own fell on the black ice on the way to her parked car and has broken her wrist.
Oh Pir I so understand! Had my first haircut in 2008 and STILL love being able to go to the hairdresser. Enjoy!
The person below me is so tired of the snow and ice and, in my case anyway, walking everywhere like a duck!
The person below me has her 2nd haircut since chemo today!! yeeeepeeee! ...
I cannot understand the mess that the airports have got into. All they talk about is clearing the runways.....how about a mention about the poor souls waiting IN the airport and those even worse who are outside.....sheer madness...what would happen if there was a serious attack on this country.....Would the MPs just leave us to it? Sorry for the rant and I am not even going out of the house!
The person below me thinks the world has gone mad!
Hope you did a good day of shopping! (and that you had a great time!)
Yes, beautiful area!...Bicester is precisely where we were!!!!! 35cm of snow!!!!
The person below me wants the airports to reopen and go back to normal to be able to get away!!!!!
I love that area. My nephew and family used to live at Bicester, Pir. I also explored Burford and surrounding area.
The person below me is going out shopping with her younger daughter. Taking the bus as only the main roads are clear....a wander round the wee shops I think.

The person below me has just come back from Oxford and what a trip that was! Fed up with the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw the photos of the lorry on the web. So whose wedding was that? And did you wear something new?
The person below me is having some lovely red wine and some Burts crisps. But I have had my 5 fruit and veg today honest!
That's good news.
The person below me was stuck for 4 hours yesterday on the M25 due to jack-knifed lorry but got to the wedding just in time - and it was worth it!

Me too Scottishlass. Didn't she do well? Kara that is?
The person below me is off to bed and wondering if she can drive to the shops tomorrow. Nothing urgent though.
Hope the chilli did the trick and you are no longer chilly!
The person below has been watching STRICTLY and is waiting for the results...exciting.
Good choice, Triphazard. And what a lovely dog!
The person below me is having chilli tonight to keep warm.
Actually bought them from local garden centre, but otherwise correct - except for the squirrel.. squirrels round here feed at the houses with no dogs to harass them...
The person below me woke up, looked at the snow and went back to bed..
I want her to win too.
The person below me went to the RSBP to purchase more fat balls, feeder seed and sunflower hearts for her birds.....the squirrel is helping himself too!
Oh I missed it! Hope you enjoyed it Lella. And yes Thomas Lawrence is fantastic.
The person below me intends to sleep as long as possible tonight before facing the snow and ice again!
How lovely ... my grandma had some table mats depicting his work - brings back lovely warm memories - My favourite was the little girl with the dog on her lap.

The person below me spent the day visiting her Mum in the nursing home where the central heating was not working properly so had to go to the M and S outlet shop to buy Mum some thermal underwear. Shocking and NOT pleased with the nursing home.
Oh Pir. Thinking of you. I have done that more than once and it is so painful! Nothing to be done except to strap it and make a big bandage so people avoid stepping on it. Hugs to you.
The person below me has had a lovely weekend first with family and then at a party with some longstanding friends.
Samoas, hope you did go and had a brilliant time!
The person below me has broken her little toe...ouchhhhhhhhhhhh! and can hardly move... :o(
Val - what did you end up doing, anything interesting?
The person below me is contemplating getting in the car and going to Manchester to the German Market, taking advantage of the cheaper Sunday parking fees.
Enjoy your visit tomorrow. Good luck to the clearing out and for taking them to the charity shop. Even if things are " passed it" put them in the bag as they get money for all rags. I have helped out in the Shelter and Cancer reseach shops. I recycle everything there.
The preson below me is just wondering how she will spend the rest of the day. Nothing in my diary for a change.
Me too Olivia. Well my husband's clothes mostly that no longer fit him, though he won't admit it.
