Well cheers girls! A bit early in the day for the hard stuff so a cup of coffeee and a mince pie for me. Will hopefully pop back in later for something else to nibble and drink.
To be honest I think we overdid it yesterday, both feeling ill with this horrid virus but went on Santa delivery trail, left house at 10.30 didn't get home till about 7.30 and had hardly ant sleep last night. Definitely going to be a very quiet Christmas for us, thank goodness we have no-one coming! Haven't managed to bring tree in and decorate it so will have to make do with lots of candles.
Will pop in here to sit by the tree and will thgink of Chocolates shining tree for us.
Hope everyone has as good a Christmas as possible xxxx

This is a lovely thought Desi..
I had the xmas party made sure I was dosed up to the eyeballs, and partied until 2am from 6pm! Danced for almost half of it, and had a great time. Won rear of the year and best dressed!!! We had a great laugh! Having a really quiet day and getting the house back to order slowly. Tired, but so glad we went through with it.
Everyone was complimenting me on how amazing I am coping with everything. Little do they know!! There is the public and the private face as we all know. Nevertheless, it was a boost and a confidence builder!!
Going to do the last xmas shopping tomorrow-feet recovering really slowly..
Just about to watch the Apprentice final... really looking forward to it. Gallons of tea and a hot water bottle.
Christmassy hugs everyone.... look forward to our cyber Christmas Eve Party..

You naughty girls!! I have polished off a half loaf of stollen whilst wrapping my on line deliveries today. Even my beautiful Working Cocker Archie got in on the act , took his opportunity and stole a slice - all I could see was him running out the kitchen as fast as his little legs could carry him with the cake clenched firmly between his teeth!! He stole a Tesco finest Mince Pie last night. So his Xmas is also going very well...
Going to put lights on tree finally.... just resting with a cup of tea, before i go again....

I love this room though I will have a nice cup of tea while I watch the snow .I am glad I dont have to go out in it as it is cold and wet and makes you fall on your bum . I will also light some candles one for my mum and one for my dad . My mum had bowel cancer my dad just faded slowly after my mum died .Barton it is strange when you said about your mum and grandmother . My mum and mother-in-law both died on the same date though years apart .My maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather both died on the same very same day and we have just found out that my dad and his brother both died on the same date only 60 years apart .Three dates that I may just wrap myself in cottonwool and stay in bed !!! Good news though saw the onc today and everything looking okay so bone strengthening jab in 4 weeks and no onc for 8 weeks . Also made initial start to see about getting my remaining boob off cann,t wait I,ll be able to have a pert small matching pair instead of one huge wrinkly one that is heading south .I've had huge boobs since I was in primary school and have always hated them bring on a small pair even if they will be knitted knockers !!!Wishing you all a good nights sleep .Vicky xxx
Yes, yes indeed, bring on the candles! They can be so meaningful... remembering those who sadly are no longer with us, (I'll be lighting my real pink-and-black candle on 24th though might not make it to the online party). Even one small candle can shine brightly in a world, or a life, that can be dark as we all know. ... especially any who have had difficult news recently.
This year, I've lit a candle almost every day since the clocks changed. Each time I strike a match I am thankful that I can still do this safely! Clinic earlier this week was a mixed bag of results (PET scan and bloods) but good news that I can stay on capecitabine for now. It's my choice not to drink alcohol on my tablet weeks, I'll be week-on for Christmas but week-off for New Year... and someone else is cooking the Christmas dinner 🙂
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but would love to join you for a glass (or two) on Christmas Eve, as it's my birthday and also just a couple of weeks short of my first year with sbc. With much love to you all.

Hi Girls, just to let you know that the sbc girls on facebook 'chat girls' are also having a virtual Christmas drink at 6pm on Christmas eve (idea stolen from here and shared).They/We will be raising a glass to us all and to those we have lost. so if your in both groups thats two parties for you. Happy Christmas. Ethel x
You put me to shame!! I havent even got my tree yet, and only a few small presents bought online!!
Need to get a move on. With these feet need someone to wheel me around, preferably in my bed!!
I am sure I will get there, always do. Put another log on that fire, will be joining you all soon for our Christmas Eve party!!
Love and hugs!

No mince pies for me now. But I can eat marshmallows and jelly babies!!
I'd love to join in - just being home for Christmas is great. They had thought I may need to go to a nursing home. Just to be able to be with cyber friends in comfort of own home is sooooo worth it.
