Hi Amber
Thank you. I am so pleased I read your post. Although we havent booked a holiday yet we are thinking of going away in June so I have spent the last couple of days trying to get quotes for holiday insurance, to no avail. I am due to have my last T on 6th March. As things stand at the moment no one will insure me, not even Insure Pink although they were very helpful and offered other specialist companies that may. They did however advise me to contact them again 3-6 weeks after my last chemo and they will happily insure me and my husband for around £83, this cheered me up no end. Like you very impressed.
Good luck everyone if anyone needs a break we and our families do!!!! xx
Has ayone with secondary BC managed to get travel insurance to Spain.
Cheers Sue x
Hello Friendly,
Have a look at freespirittravelinsurance.com.
Many insurance companies will not insure you whilst you are still having chemotherapy but this one will.
I have booked a holiday for June this year but obviously need to have insurance in place in case I need to cancel before that.
Many told me to come back once my chemo was finished which is no good.
Hope this helps and you manage to get away to sunny Spain !
Hi Friendly,
Other ladies on here have given the following travel insurance companies, which hopefully you will find useful? They are: Insurancewith.com and Eurotunneltravel Insurance - although you have to call up the Eurotunnel one as they do not operate on-line, so I am led to believe.
Hope this is of help.... let us know how you get on as I too will need to book some soon.
TC xx
Does anybody have any experience of getting travel insurance whilst undergoing chemo? I have 3 weeks between each session and would like to go to Spain following my second session. Any thoughts please?
