Tried out my electric scooter.LOL

Since i have very limited mobility hubby thought a mobility scooter was a good idea - one was bought . I first tried it our by going with hubby on the dog walk. Hubby got to pick up the dog poo. Since nothing went wrong - I passed and can go out with out him.
Darling daughter decided to take me to the market. First problem - son has lost the main key to my car - we cant get into the boot.
Never mind DD has a people carrier, plenty room for me and the scooter. LOL
Next problem, I cant get into the car - its to high. Never mind hubby has bought a step so I can, at some point , get into his 4X4. Step is to high - I had to grab my jeans and man handle my right leg onto the step.
Ok now using the door and sill I’m able to get the left leg onto the step and get into the car - the door flew all the way open and I cant reach it . By this time DD is having a fit - no she is’nt worried about her poor old mum, DD thinks this is the most fun she has had all week. I am not amused - I should get a medal for all the work I put in to get into the car.
Any way at the market I just had to slide out the car and onto the scooter. Now it has rained for ages here and the car park is just pressed down earth, with loads of water filled pot holes. The scooter done its job - however even with limited feeling, I could feel my bladder bungy jumping as I bounsed from pot hole - to pot hole.
I got the last laugh though- at every stall I got served and DD got ignored, every one got out my way and let me through. Poor DD got pushed shuffed and stood on - and of course she had to carry my shopping.
Cant wait to go out with her again.

Well done Glo…what an adventure for you. tee hee…you paint a very convincing picture. Let us know about your next adventure. I had a busy day today as was at the hospital…took my daughter shopping…did a small food shop as Dad coming to tea…I phoned him could I pick him up as in town and would run him back…no he woud bring his own car…got lost on way to my house…had tea…asked him to stay night…no he wanted to drive back…so escorted him out to by-pass…and said when I put on hazard warning lights he was to continue on road and I woud peal off as I needed petrol and I would head home myself…so far so good…he is 87…he didn’t want a lift home…I followed him when I saw him coming off the road…he got lost…he was driving too fast in places amd far too slow in others…I managed to catch up and he was in a totoally wrong area…didn’t know where he was really…so I told him to follow me and I would take him home…we got to 5 mintes from his home when I stopped and said you will know where you are now so I will go for my petrol…but he didn’t and I ended up taking him right home and getting his dog safely in…NEXT TIME he WILL stay overnight or we will collect him in our car…He lives 10 mies from me and it was my daughters last day with us before she flies home…oh well…goodnight Glo, Val
