I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, two weeks before my 32nd birthday. Although it was caught very early, I eventually had to have a mastectomy due to DCIS. Things have been fine since then and I'm still on Tamoxifen. A couple of weeks ago I had a routine mRI scan as part of my regular annual check-ups. Today I got a letter calling me for an ultrasound of my right breast (previously unaffected). The letter made no reference to the MRI and it may just be routine (I have had ultrasounds before as part of regular check-ups but wasn't expecting this one) but I'm worried that it may be because something showed up on the MRI. I'm sure a lot of people here have been through something similar, and I'm probably (as usual) worrying over nothing. It's just that the thought of this starting all over again is really getting me down.
