Re: Very painful breast lumps

i have just come back from my 1st breast sceening mammogram this morining
i have had a lump and thickening for 6 years and told her, she just screened me and said you will get the results in 2 weeks, so i guess its just a waiting game now

Re: Very painful breast lumps

Hi
You are bound to be worried . The worst time is waitng for results. It is a long time until 11th. I suggest you find things to keep you occupied. I don't know anything about the symptoms you described. You may have nothing at all to be worried about. Not everyone who gets a recall after a mammogram has breast cancer. But whatever your results - you will get plenty of support on this web site.
Thinking of you. Take care asnd look after yourself.

Very painful breast lumps

Hi, I have already posted something on the thread Waiting for Results. I have got myself into a right state looking at various websites today. I had a mammogram and ultrasound on 16th December, have always had lumpy breasts and usually quite tender around the time of the month. Noticed lately they are tender most of the time and the lumps I can feel (there are quite a few) really hurt and feel like I am bruised.

During the ultrasound the radiographer said she could see multiple cysts and they were quite deep in the tissue. Got the dreaded letter today to say they wanted me back on 11th January for further ultrasound.

Have so many questions, this is probably one of many, I apologise for them now lol.

Is that good to have pain or not? Going insane, going from oh it will be fine to omg I am gonna die before my kids grow up in as little as 10 minutes!!!

Anyone else have the same kind of symptoms would love to hear from you.
