Volunteers needed for Secondary Breast Cancer petition hand-in to Downing Street

So far, just under 11,000 people have signed our petition, calling for the government to make secondary breast cancer a priority. This is fantastic and we are now looking at handing the petition in soon so that all these voices are heard.

We are planning on handing our petition to Number 10, Downing Street on the morning of Monday 1 December and we are looking for people to come and join us. While it is unlikely that we will bump into the Prime Minister on the day, we will be able to hand the petition to someone from Number 10 and get a nice photo outside the famous black door. As a thank you, we would like to take our volunteers for lunch where we can discuss with you some ideas about future campaigning on secondary breast cancer in order to get your thoughts.

If you would like to come, please contact Andy Glyde, Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager, by (mailto:andy.glyde@breastcancercare.org.uk) or on 0207 960 3484, no later than this Friday at 12noon. We only have a very limited number of spaces to go to Downing Street and if we receive lots of requests, we may need to select who can attend.

We are happy to cover reasonable travel expenses. Hope you can join us.

Thank you,

Helen  :womanhappy:
