Waiting!!

Good morning

I have been reading posts for a while but I really want some advice please.

On 20th May I had abreast lesion removed from my left breast. I had had it for about 6 months the breast was very painful, itchy. Before the lesion had appeared my nipple felt like it was coming off(!) although it isn’t! Anyway, when it was removed the surgeon said it was difficult as it was attached to the skin of the breast. But he said I would have the results in about two weeks as to what it was. I was also told to book an appt for two months to follow up. I have phoned my consultant a couple of times asking for the result. When I phoned earlier this week his secretary just said that I am booked in for 3 July and they would discuss treatment then. Obviously I am very worried, all this time and I still don’t know what I am dealing with. Should I be taking someone with me on 3 July? I am starting to worry now and even as I write this my heart is going ten to the dozen!

Any advice or suggestions would be very gratefully received!

Many thanks
Louise

Hi looby,

So sorry to hear of all this anxious waiting time. But I’m afraid it’s about par for the course. I would advise you to take someone with you in July, as even if there is good news, you might not remember it all. A second pair of ears would come in handy as would a list of all the questions you need answering - jot the replied too. It’s always a good idea to have someone to support you when going through worrying times. Wishing you well for 3rd July, and sending hugs.
