Mets: an abbreviation for metasteses. This is when cancer spreads to another part of the body away from the primary cancer tumour. Sometimes referred to as secondaries. The most common sites for breast cancer metasteses are bones, lungs, liver and brain. When cancer has spread (metastasized) it is not curable but can be treatable for a long time.
Hope this helps.
best wishes
