I had my mastectomy done privately but then had all subsequent treatment at Northampton General.
I agree with Karen they were all fantastic.

I finished all my treatment on 1st Feb but it was all done at Northampton General Hospital. I have been so impressed with them from start to finish, from the first appointment at the Breast Clinic to the Chemo & Rads in the Onc Centre.
Karen

Reckon I'm the furthest down south so far... All treatment at Plymouth Derriford hospital. Excellent so far, apart from my her2 tissue sample not being sent away for analysis after my mx.....14 weeks later they sorted it out( thank goodness they keep the samples for a while!)
I have had all Surgery and having Chemo, Herceptin at Celia Blakey Centre, WHH, Ashford, Kent and Radiotherapy at the Kent & Canterbury.
I'm having all my treatment at The Royal Marsden, Sutton.
Lisa
Everything at Musgrove Park in Taunton.....surgery in main hospital all other treatment in the new Beacon Centre.....
I had my mammogram at Cannock, my surgery at Stafford and my rads will be at New Cross in Wolverhampton
Had all appts, Mammos/Us and biopsies at Parapet Windsor. Chemo next door at King Edward vii, surgery at Heatherwood Ascot and Rads at Mount Vernon. Excellent care. Records always available etc despite care being across 4 units/hospitals and 2 counties. Can,t fault the treatment
I'm now 1 year post mx, chemo and radiotherapy. Had my wle and mx at the Nuffield in York, chemo at home and radiotherapy at the Bexley wing at Leeds. Can't fault the treatment at all.
I am at Princess Royal Telford and shrewsbury hospital. Everyone has been great, nurses so kind- do find the results etc seem to be a bit on the slow side though

I had my surgery (WLE & ANC on Christmas Eve) at Biddenham Manor Hospital, a lovely little private hospital only 10 minutes from home.
I'm currently having my chemo at the Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital, which is an absolutely wonderful place with lovely staff.
I'll be having my rads at Addenbrookes, which unfortunately is about an hour away from home, and will be impossible if they try to give me 9 or 10am appointments as I'll never get there through the rush hour!

I had surgery at Gloucester Royal and chemo (and rads to come) at Cheltenham Oncology Centre

Hi all,
Thanks very much for your responses. I will ask about Christie's at Royal Oldham it would be much easier for me to get there.
I would be very happy to meet up with anyone for lunch/coffee etc please count me in for any future dates
Tracey xx
I'm at the Royal Marsden Sutton branch and have been going there for 21 years now! The longest break I ever got was just under a year so you can imagine why I feel part of the furniture now LOL.

Hi Tracey,
I have had all of my treatment at Oldham and like Vickie (tors) I can highly recommend Oldham for ease and efficiency. The staff were brill and friendly and the place itself (Christie at Oldham) is calm and welcoming.
Also been to Vickies meet ups and they are great fun too.
From Bury you are just a stones throw up the motorway and if you organise your appointments away from rush hour you should sail through (both traffic and the treatment)
Good Luck
Suze xx
Hi Tracey
I,m another from Oldham. Started chemo at Christie,s but asked to be transfered to Oldham after first chemo purely for ease. Spent 8 hours at Christie,s only 3 hours at Oldham.
Vickie (tors) has organised meet ups in the past, and i believe they have been well attended. I,m having fec 3 on Thurs and then i was thinking of trying to organise a meet up for in a couple of weeks time for anyone around Manchester area. Would you be up for it?

Hi Tracey - we are not too far from you - on the bolton/Wigan Border.
My wife's surgery has been at Wigan Royal alber Edward and Leigh Infirmaries.
Her chemo was all done at Christies (before surgery) and she had just had her first Radiotherapy today at Christies. We discussed Oldham, but we thought as we would have to get past Eccles either way we opted for Christies. From Bury we would have chosen Oldham!
Paul.
Chemo and rads at North Middlesex Hospital in North London. MX at Barnet Hospital.
Excellent treatment, wonderful staff and only about 20 mins from home
Marian
I go to Crawley for outpatients appointments and East Surrey, Redhill for surgery, biopsies, nuclear medicine, x-rays etc. I will be going to Guildford for rads but not sure where for chemo.
Hi tracey
i'm from oldham, so royal oldham hospital. Its worth asking for your radiotherapy to be done at christie's new oldham unit. It is brilliant, fab staff, new building and machines and easier commute snd parking is free and reserved for radiotherapy patients. Is well worth asking.
All the best
vickie
I go to Salisbury District hospital for appts/chemo, but will be going to Southampton General for rads.
For those feeling sick at mere thought of hospital, Salisbury give out little scented sticks as an aromatherapy aid - apparently if you sniff one when you come into the ward, it can help disguise the hospital smells and alleviate nausea. They also give out mp3 players with soothing music if you need them. Haven't actually had to use them, but thought it was a lovely idea.

Hi All,
Finished treatment now but was treated at Nottingham City Hospital Breast Clinic.

I'm in Bideford and being treated at North Devon District Hospital for most things but will have to go to Exeter for rads and recon.
Glenfield and Leicseter Royal Infirmary - both in leicester ( I live half way between Leiceter and Coventry, on the border of Leicestershire.
Live in Nottingham but being treated at Derby Royal.
I'm being treated at Guys. The trip from my place to London Bridge is quick. It's all I seem to take the train for these days. I look forward to a journey straight into Charing Cross in the near future
hi
I have my treatment at the Arden Centre based at Walsgrave in Coventry.

Hello All and especially Chocciemuffin!
I am having all my treatment at Royal Surrey Guildford and St. Luke's Cancer Centre on that hospital site.
Haven't actually started at the Centre yet, except for when I went to Nuclear Medicine to get injected with the dye for the SNB, cos I'm still having surgery.
Wandyx
Hi
Live in Lichfield and have all treatment at burton on trent, where they also have specialist breast clinic.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to feel queasy before I've had the treatment.
Cheryl
My chemo treatment is at Maidstone. Had surgery at Kent and Sussex in Tunbridge Wells. Choccie muffin - I also start feeling sick the moment we get to the traffic lights outside the hospital and gets worse when I use the anti-bacterial handwash at the door!
Rachel
I am having my treatment at the University Hospitals Birmingham. It has been split between the Women's Hospital, where the breast clinic is located, and the Cancer Treatment Centre which is still in the Old QE buildings. I've had some of my associated tests and scans in the new hospital, or The New QE. The Chemotherapy unit is moving into The New QE just after my chemo should finish.
