Re: Which hospitals are you at?

I was diagnosed and had my lumpectomy and snb at Macclesfield and now rads at The Christie. They are amazing. Makes me realise how fortunate I am, going into the Christie every day. So many very sick people.

Re: Which hospitals are you at?

I went to Addenbrookes over Christmas & like you I thought they were lovely. I made the same observation, can't call it a complaint, that the radiographers were different each time. Mine seems like a distant memory now but good luck to you x

Re: Which hospitals are you at?

Addenbrookes. Brilliant! No major delays apart from first appointment. They've called me in early the last couple of days. I see a different set of radiographers (male and female) each time so there is no consistency on the personality front, however they are all lovely. There are 5 machines going constantly and it's incredibly busy. Can't fault it, I feel very thankful.

Re: Which hospitals are you at?

Maidstone, Kent for me.  Although I live in East Sussex.  Have to travel just over an hour each way, which isn't ideal, but a better drive than going to Brighton every day, as it's a nightmare traffic wise!

Churchill Hospital, Oxford. Diagnosed grade 3 9cm dcis in left breast. Have horrendous family history.  Had FEC-T 6 cycles then double mastectomy 3 weeks ago, also on herceptin and pertuzamab. Seeing onc tomorrow to find out plan for radiotherapy. All medics have been amazing!!

Re: Which hospitals are you at?

Hi,

I am also at Burnley General Hospital, just had surgery for grade 3, had lumpectomy and reconstruction. Not started chemo yet, hopefully will be at Burnley, then Preston for radiotherapy. I agree that all the staff from start to where I am now are amazing, hope you make a quick, uncomplicated recovery, same to everyone else reading this post.

Re: Which hospitals are you at?

New Cross, Wolverhampton for radiotherapy. Chemotherapy (neo adjuvant) was at Spire Little Aston. Main hospital is Walsall Manor - had surgery there, go there for Herceptin injections and ongoing support, but it doesn't have a radiotherapy unit so I am having to go to New Cross for that. Radiotherapy doesn't start until middle of March and won't finish until just before Easter - having 23 (15 + 8 boosters at reduced doses). Had CT scan and tattoos on Thursday. Tattoos didn't hurt much, so didn't jump off the machine. Was not offered a choice of designs...
