Optimism is the foundation of courage and hope

Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow and also the power to let go of the familiar

Hope is knowing that no matter what happens, you will deal with it and move on

Remember, we all stumble, every one of us, no matter how strong or determine we are. That is why it is a comfort to go hand in hand.

I am glad it has helped you all, I found it helpful putting them down on my Facebook wall 5 days after my mastectomy and having them in my notes rot remind me never to give up whatever it throw at me x

Thank you for those inspirational words. I was diagnosed in July 2007 and am all ok now!!! Fingers crossed… I remember the days of surgery, chemo, rads, still on tamoxifen. I think these words would have really helped me then .
I try and stay optimistic and will borow your words for my facebook page if that is ok,
