Returned today to read the news about Wubbly Wendy.
Such a shock after posting last week....
Such a sad loss.
Words fail me except to say that she obviously brightened so many lives. What a star.

I'm just wondering if any of wendys friends can let us know which charity, donations in her memory are to be sent to? It probably hasn't been decided as yet but I would like to make a donation in wendys memory and so would appreciate the info. I'm sure there are other ladies who feel the same. It's incredibly sad losing any of our members to this lousy disease but especially when it is someone as young and vibrant as wendy was. My thoughts are with her family and with all of you that got so close on the tn thread - you will miss her too even though she hadn't been with you that long.

Wendy was such a special person - as Theresa says, on meeting her, her warmth enveloped you. She was completely besotted with her little boy and her husband and was very rich in love - a millionaire. Right up to the end of her life she was concerned and loving towards her friends and sparing in her comments about her own condition. She faced her death in a way that has been awe inspiring. We'll miss her terribly, but we really are richer for having known her. Sleep well Wendy, and God bless xxxx

Like the other North East girls this is the thread I never wanted to post in... I first "spoke" to Wendy on here the day she was diagnosed and we realised we lived close to each other a few days later...
It really is impossible to explain just how wonderful she was, but the amazing thing was within just a couple of minutes of meeting her you would realise just how wonderful she was and that you had met a friend for life... I know she will always hold a very special place in all our hearts and feel so sorry for her family and life long friends who have lost this special, funny, kind woman...
I can't believe I will never see her again, have her wonderful messages of support... This is so wrong - we were meant to be old ladies eating cakes and scones and laughing at her tales of her grandchildren...

Sleep well Wendy and I hope your sparkly dreams are full of happiness and love xxx

Yes, Midge is right. Us ladies, on the North East thread, have been shocked and devastated by the death of the lovely person Wendy was. . So corageous, warm and supportive ! I have had a privilege to meet her and I can tell you all she was a specia special person! lots of love to her family at this very sad time....
