Re: Younger Women With Secondaries Together

Hi ladies
I'm coming up on the train on Thursday and will be joining you for dinner. Can't wait to meet you all. I was diagnosed ewith primary breast cancer in 2004 when I was 31 and then secondary in Oct 2013. I have attended a support group but all the other women are much older than me so I'm looking forwards to meeting other women my age in the same situation xx

Re: Younger Women With Secondaries Together

Hi, I was diagnosed stage 4 breast cancer end of August this year (first diagnosis), so this is all very new and raw to me!

ER + 8/8, so on hormonal therapy for now. Really struggling with fatigue and muscle weakness, and a few other side effects (I already have chronic fatigue syndrome for the last 6 years).

I am trying to be strong and positive in front of everyone, as I have not told my family that it is incurable, but very difficult when side effects have made me feel alot worse!

I will be arriving on Friday morning, possibly around 8:30, as will have to travel in early when my partner goes in to work in Manchester.

Felt nervous about attending on my own, but guess we are all in the same boat! Hope we can all gain support and share experiences with each other.

Michelle.

Hello all,
I am coming to the event and am very excited to meet everyone.
I have triple negative breast cancer, does anyone else??
I have done weekly chemo for 28 weeks now! I have next week off!! (Yay)!
I think I'm going to cry as soon as I walk in!!! Hope you all don't mind that too much, I'll get over it quick enough!
I am coming from way down south so coming up on Thursday.
It will be an interesting couple of days.
See you all next week

Hi!

I'm going (just sorting the logistics of getting from York to Manchester that early as can't drive anymore (due to brain mets.)

Really looking forward to meeting everyone.

How do the rooms work? We do get our own rooms don't we? Just a bit worried about sharing with a stranger!!

Thanks

Nicky xx

Younger Women With Secondaries Together

Booked a place on the upcoming pilot event for Younger Women with Secondaries Together event in Manchester?

Feedback has said how helpful it was to talk on the Forums beforehand and this thread is a chance for you to say hello and “meet” others attending the event. I will check in regularly and if you have any questions do let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Look forward to meeting you next week
Steph
