Hi - I was Dx with IDC at end of Nov 09 and had WLE & SLNB in Dec. Results showed grade 2, E+, 12mm, with clear node, but also a larger area of DCIS and a margin that wasn't clear. Had another excision last week (13th Jan) but results didn't come back clear today. Surgeon has sent them off for second opinions, because of an area of 'flat epithelial atypia' which affects another margin. Has anyone had similar experience with this sort of diagnosis of different sorts of early/pre cancerous cells obscuring the margins? I'm beginning to wonder whether mastectomy is on the cards?
