Im from Kent, near Maidstone. There are a few threads on here already about Kent ladies, so there are quite a few of us on here. There is also a Maidstone meet up every two months in the evening if you fancy it?

My appt is 9.40 today so will miss each other, my appts have mainly been 9.00 or just after.
They are a nice team the radiologists, very friendly.

Hi,

I am from Ashford, had WLE, ANC, 3x FEC, 3xTAX and having Herceptin for 12 months all at WHH and am having 15 Rads and 3 boosters at K&C am half way through with the Rads.
Have posted about east Kent before but didn't get much response!

I don't like him either, miserable man...he's retiring next month though so I def only have to see him once more thankfully..

If only there was a machine at QEQM...life would be so much easier!

Canterbury is a bit of a drag and although I have a schedule of appointments for the whole treatment, when I go I am told the one for the following day has been changed! BUT the staff are really nice and caring which helps.

I think that the 15 rads are for the surrounding breast tissue and nodes in my neck and then I am having 3 boosters in the scar area where the tumour was removed, but not 100% sure so don't quote me on that!

My Onc is but we do not get on so I actually see the radiologist who is very nice

Hi Daisygirl,

WLE - done and dusted, had my first (of 6) FEC 12 days ago.

Back at work, feeling fine, my hair is growing like nothing's going on but I think it's a bit too early to be hopeful that i might buck the trend!

Is it a real pain in proverbial going to Canterbury for the rads? i've heard that the machines there are really unreliable. (what are boosters by the way?)

Survived WLE, 3 x FEC 3 x TAX and now 3 down of 15 rads + 3 boosters.

No hair, eye brows or eye lashes and still suffering the side affects of TAX; mancky nails and aching legs and feet, numb fingers and toes!
