I think everyone's experience is a little different. I was on Exemestane, but only lasted a few months on it as it made the joints in my hands and feet so painful, I was unable to do very much and it really affected my life, so changed to Letrozole, which I was ok with.

Hi Zoey,

I was on exemestane/Aromasin for a year which it kept everything stable unfortunately I'm now on capectibine.

I know there are ladies o here who have been on exmestane for years so it depends on the person. Hope it works well for you. Thr se I had was aching joints and walking like an elderly person. I took glucosamine 1500 which helped ease the pain but its bearable.

Hi

I started a discussion on this a few weeks ago. what is it you want to know? I have been on the drug now for 3 years.
I have just found out I have some deterioration of my bones after a bone density scan.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008,it had alo spread to 9 lymph nodes.I then returned to work and the cancer came back in 2009 in my ovaries,i had a histerectamy and again returned back to work.I was on tamoxifen and was going through the menopouse.I was having pain in my back and side and was sent for an mri scan 2 weeks ago,i have now been diaganosed with liver mets,the area is only small, its 11mm.They are now putting me on exemestaine for 5 weeks then they will mri scan me again.Has any body got any information on the drug or any body with similer experiances???
