Re: hysterectomy/lumpy breasts

hysterectomy/lumpy breasts Hi Jacks

I have had a hysterectomy but they kept my ovaries in as they didn't want my breast condition worsening. I was diagnosed with DCIS at the age of 32 and had hysterectomy in January 2005 and therefore didn't need HRT.

The lumps haven't gone and in fact I have just had a mastectomy too.

I sincerely hope in your case that whatever they do works for you.

Hugs

Thinking of you.

Re: hysterectomy/lumpy breasts

hysterectomy/lumpy breasts Does anyone know if a hysterectomy helps with extremely lumpy painful breast problem?
I had bc and lost my left breast and have a very lumpy remaining right one, including lumps under my arm.
I have to have a hysterectomy and was hoping it may solve the lumpy problem but the BCN tells me it may not. I thought if there were no ovaries the hormones would completely calm down!
Just wondered if anyone had been through similar???????
Thanks
Suex
