You are not complaining...you are worried and that is understandable.  I agree a second opinion with someone who explains things to you should help deal with your questions and fears. Having the worry of your Mum as well is a lot to handle so be kind to yourself!

Getting a second opinion is the best thing you can do. And you know what? Be stuburn about that...

Well, that's all very well to say 'it's nothing' but what is the thickness the consultant and you are seeing ? I guess what he means is that he can see nothing sinister, but it sounds like there was no explanation as to what is causing your symptom.....it could well be that there are benign hormonal changes linked to your pregnancy, but unless you are told something you are only going to worry. Of course, you should feel elated you've been given the 'all clear' but until your nagging concerns are dealt with you won't feel settled. I can understand why you feel you want a second opinion, and I would suggest returning to the GP and saying that you would like just that....a second opinion at another hospital with another consultant. Explain the outcome and a lack of explanation and your lack of confidence in the outcome. Try not to panic though, do keep in mind though, that at your very young age the chances of BC are very low, age is certainly on your side with regard to statistically having a benign condition, as is having breast fed a few children. At your exact age I also had a breast clinic referral for an enlarged hard area, which was quite large and was hormonal change tissue.
