is this normal??

Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed on 26/8 and had a DIEP on 10/9 (so I feel like my feet haven’t touched the ground). Today I’ve started having sharp pains in my “reconstrution”. Is this normal? Should I be worried? Whilst I’m here, can I just say it’s wonderful to find out that other women have been going through all this, and it’s not just me. My friends and family have been amazing, and continue to be, but it isn’t just me is it?

Hi Ses,

I had my DIEP reconstruction in July (mine was delayed, had MX in Jan 08) I had a few ‘twinges’ and pains post op, but if you are worried why not ring the breast care nurses at the hospital where you had your op. They are usually so helpful and if you have any concerns will put your mind at rest.
