Re: new diagnosis

So glad to hear surgery went well and you're recovering well. Take it easy and listen to your body and remember to do your exercises to keep that arm mobile. X

Re: new diagnosis

Hi Marleyann

that's great that you have your date. Now you know when it'll all start. There are loads of threads on here with tips for surgery, what to take etc.

keep yourself busy, it can take your mind off things, get as much done in the house as you can. You will have to take it easy after the op. No 'hoovering' for weeks so as much as you can get done before is great. I stocked up with recorded tv and books so I could veg out on the sofa after my op.  I'm not great at doing nothing.

I hope the time passes quickly for you.

Re: new diagnosis

Hi Marleyann

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Talk to your breast cancer nurse, people on here and anyone you feel comfortable taking to.
Try not to look on Google etc (easier said then done I know).

Take care

Re: new diagnosis

Hi Marleyann,
So sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but you have made the right decision to come on this forum.
Everyone on here is lovely, knows how you feel and will help you as much as possible, and answer your questions honestly.
When you are feeling down always come on here for support.
Do you have a date for surgery yet?
I had my lumpectomy 4 weeks ago and now waiting to start my next step of treatment. Time has really gone quite quick since my diagnosis on 2 April.
Hopefully you are not waiting too long for your treatment to start.
Take care Carole x

Re: new diagnosis

Hi
I was diagnosed last month and know how difficult it is. My best advice I was given was stay off google as it doesn't help and makes your mind worry even more.
This Forum has been my lifeline. I have now started chemo and have joined a chemo monthly thread where we can talk about and share our experiences.
Have you got an appointment to meet with an oncologist and surgeon? It may at times feel like things are not moving quick enough but believe me you'll look back and be glad that you had that period to get your head around it.
If you need to talk keep posting as you'll gets lots of help and support from everyone that knows what you're going through as we're going through it too and remember we're going to get through this together. X

Re: new diagnosis

Hi Marleyann welcome.

I really feel for you, it's a horrible time and I am sure you are very scared and worried.

Do you have any details on your diagnosis yet? Until you find out what you are dealing with and the treatment your mind is in overdrive.

post on here whenever you feel the need and the helpline is great for info and support.

We have all been there and try and help out as much as we can. Things might feel very black right now but you will get through this.

take care
