Seven years on from diagnosis,lumpectomy,radiotherapy and five horrible years of Tamoxifen I found a new lump. Same breast but so high almost not breast at all. spent Easter in a state of total panic and then waited another week for the result of a needle biopsy: it said the results were ‘consistent’ with a benign cyst, but it hasn’t gone away and tommorrow I go back to my Doctor to discuss what to do now. Seven years ago I spent nearly nine months being told that the lump in my breast was too small and too innocuous to possibly be cancer until someone removed it and looked at it. I don’t believe that this one isn’t cancer and I don’t want to do this all over again.
