not happy with size of reconstruction

Hi all

I have just had my expander removed and an implant inserted (29th June), but I am unhappy with the size of the implant - I understand that the expander was over inflated but the size of my new breast is a lot smaller than I was led to believe (I have been waiting for my reconstruction for 5 years) - has anybody had this happen to them and if so what happened? I’m not sure if I can ask for a larger implant as I don’t want to appear “ungrateful”.

Hi there
I would mention this to your PS next time you meet and explain that you are unhappy with the size of the implant and what can be done to improve things for you?

Don’t worry abouut appearing ‘ungrateful’ because you are not.
We all deserve something which we feel happy and comfortable with in the end…

Hi,i am having expanders out on 18th of this month and cant wait.They feel like cricket balls at the moment.Apart from the size are you happy with the feel and looks?Are they much softer? Im with Naz on saying how you feel too,but I know what you mean about feeling grateful.I think its difficult to push for what you really want when talking to surgeons,specialists etc,but you have to be happy with your body or as happy as you reasonably can be otherwise it will prey on your mind all the time.Good luck,

I am happy with the feel and look yes the implant is much softer - best of luck with everything. Take care

Hi, Im so happy to know that Im not alone. Ive had my implants for three weeks. I fell the same way. Ive waited 5 years for this big day and im s unhappy. Should i mention it to my doctor?
