Re: pain in reconstructed breast

Hi Abiharv

Just wondered if your pain had gone or if you had consulted anyone about it? My recon boob has been mega sore all week and even though I have lots of strong painkillers they make no difference, The only thing that helps for a short time is massive doses of Ibrofen and a heat pad. Would be good to know if yours had cleared up by itself or if you had some treatment for it?

Many thanks and hope you are now feeling a lot better

Re: pain in reconstructed breast

It is always worth seeing your Gp. Quite apart from anything, the worry it is obviously causing isn't healthy for you anyway. In case you are thinking it, it's not fussing/ being paranoid .. It's being very wise when one has a history of a very serious condition.
All the best

pain in reconstructed breast

I had a mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction 5 years ago. All has been fine with movement etc all back to normal. Last week it felt like I had pulled a muscle in my chest, and it has just got more and more painful. The pain has got worse and it now feels like I have got needles in my numb breast and I feel now like it is as sore as it was post op! Any suggestions anyone?
