hi lovely ladies x ah sharon that is definitely pants 😞 I have my first hospital appt on Monday and I'm getting really scared now. Im starting to think that what they told me last week may not be the full story. They seemed pretty sure when talking to me that that they couldnt see anything in my lymph nodes but they didnt test them or anything. They also said they couldnt see anything in my right breast but what if it just didnt show up. They also said id be on tamoxifen for 5 years so does that mean im hr +? they never mentioned that but it doesnt sound like its a good thing. I dont really know what it means. I thought I had a good idea of what was going to happen but maybe I just heard the 'positive' stuff. It doesnt help that I had my tests and biopsies at a screenong clinic but my surgery is elsewhere so will they want to do all the tests again? I was really hoping that monday theyd be able to say what they were going to do and when and i could get on with it but now Im just dreading more bad news. Hope everyone is coping xx
Hi Cocolily, I asked the oncologist today about being her2 positive and did it mean the cancer was more serious. She said it used to be seen like that but that was before herceptin. She said herceptin is an amazing drug and having it puts us on the same success level as non her2 cancers. Janey xxx
Hi Val, just saw your post on the other thread, thank you for your support over the past few week. I'm glad you have joined this February thread too as it will be easier to keep in touch. Janey xxx
Hi Cocolily, I asked my oncologist why I was having chemo first and she said they prefer to do it that way at that hospital. I thought it may have been because I have lymph node involvement but I have seen other people on here that have lymph involvement that have surgery first so it is all very confusing. I would have prefered surgery first as I just want the cancer out but at least I will get the chemo over with. Janey xxx
Hi - I was wondering the same thing too. I was diagnosed 9th feb, surgery on 10th March followed by chemo later, I expect April.
I only know that mine is oestrogen fed so hence the hormon treatment after the chemo. Dont know any of these other details that others seem to know. Expect to find that out at two week follow up meeting and the road forwards.

Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed on 13th February, apparently my breast cancer is ER and PR positive and HER2 positive and was also found in my lymph nodes. I start chemo on 4th March and will be having 3 EC and 4 T with Herceptin. After chemo I will have surgery, radiotherapy and then tamoxifen, so the full package for me. Wishing everyone well with their treatments. Janey xxxx
Hello I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago - same diagnosis as you Tracey. Will start chemo on March 7th. So terrified.
Linda
Hi all i'm Tracey
I have been diagnosed today 26th Feb as grade 3. Approx 6cm tumor in the right breast and cells found in the node in my armpit. I have been told i'll have chemo first then surgery. My husband was with me at the clinic, and i've been to see my mum and dad to tell them. I haven't told my 2 sons yet (22 and 17), but planning on telling them tomorrow. Dreading telling them. It feels very strange talking about chemotherapy, it just seems like it's something 'other' people have, not me. I don't wish it on anyone, but glad to know i'm not on my own.
Wishing everyone a smooth journey through their treatment! xxx
