Just pushing this up to the top, so people can advise you.

Ps I hope it turns out to be a false alarm, but if not you will get support and care from alot of women on this site.

Thanks for replying Jules I had a phonecall from the hospital this afternoon and i got an appointment next Monday so not long to wait heard of stories where they have to wait months.I would be demented (not as if im not now).Just would like to hear from someone with my symptoms and listen to the outcome. Thanks for your concern all comments are well appreciated

Your welcome, I didnt want to see your post being missed.

I don’t know much about your symptoms but I did have a lump myself which was removed because there was a slight suspicion of cancer, it came back benign, and 90 % of lumps do, so I will keep my fingers crossed you are in that category.

I am glad your appointment is not too far away, but I know the waiting is agony. Keep us posted.

Love Jules xx

Ps there is a helpline attached to this site, ther open 9 till 5 and the number is on the homepage, maybe give them a ring tomorrow, they were very helpful when I
called.

Pps, Please try not to do web research as you will just end up scaring yourself silly, trust me I did lol

Thanks for that Jules can you cross your toes too, please…as I am terrified…but i feel a bit better after reading your comment.Glad yours was benign and I hope mine will be too.

Love Welshgal

Your welcome, I am here if you need to chat, I know how horrid the waiting is.

Ps Do I need my toes crossed all week lol as I might have trouble walking lol

Hi there,
I wasn’t sure whether to post as the reason I am on here (and most others I think) is that we were the unlucky ones and the majority of women who have been tested never get this far as the lumps end up being benign!
The waiting for results was the worst bit for me as you don’t really feel in control of what’s going on.
But rest assured, most of the lumps that are seen, are cists or benign tumours, so really try not to worry unless you have to!!! Probably impossible I know!
I will cross all my bits for you anyway
Take Care and best of luck
Gillian

Lol Jules you are really cheering me up ok you can cross your toes when you go to bed.

Thanks again

lol ok Welshgal! I will cross them at bedtime and during your appointment ok! lol but please don’t be there too long as I will get cramp lol

Glad I am cheering you up, just shout if you need to talk ok.

Hi Welshgal,

Welcome to the site

I am really sorry you have to join us on here, and hopefully it will not be for long and after Monday you can start getting back on with your life again because as the others have said the waiting is the worse part of all this.

However even if the news is not good once you know what is happening you can start to deal with the beast, because at the moment you do not know what you are dealing with.

Along side my good friend Jules I will be keeping everything crossed for you that everything is fine… But if there is a chance there could be something there and we have to be realistic as I am sure you are, (and if you are anything like me you will have read up on every single type of breast cancer there is going and scared myself whitless) then we will be here for you as well. There are alot of knowledgable women out there who are more than willing to share their experiences with you and help you.

If you have been reading everything as I suspect you have, then I would strongly advise that you stop for the moment until you have all your results becuase there is lots of scarey stuff out there and not all of it is accurate, and you will end up making yourself tired.

Everyone has different symptoms, When I fouinf my lump and after I was diagnosed with BC my breast became very hot and sore, I thought it was inflammatory breast cancer which is rare however it turned out to be a infection and I was treated with antibiotics before I had the operation to remove the tumour. I have now finished all my treatment with included chemo and radiotherapy and now I feel fine.

I do not know if you know what to expect on Monday at the breast clinic or even if they hve told you, but if you want to know any more just ask.

There are some lovely people on this site utilise them as well as the staff on here, it really is a very good and usefull resourse.

Let me know if there is anything else you want to know and I will do my best to find out

Thank you Linda you are absolutely right I have been doing a lot of investigating and I came to the conclusion of inflammatory breast cancer.
Could I ask you if yours really hurt and if you felt sick and tired but that may be me worrying and making myself ill.
I’m glad you feel fine now and hope I will do soon.

I have to go on Monday for a mammogram and a scan then I have another appointment on Thursday for the results.

I am going to stop reading on sites as I think it is making me worse, thanks for your advice it is well appreciated and its lovely to talk to so many caring and genuine people.

Thanks again welshgal

Hi Again

yes mine was very sore, and I did feel sick but that was the ABX, and the tiredness I had was because I didnt sleep too well following the diagnosis I do not think they are general symptoms of IBC.

I would also imagine they will do a biopsy on Monday that is the usual practice because they cannot give an true diagnosis withour one, its uncomfortable but not painful

keep in touch

I am glad Linda has come to speak to you hun, she had a very good knowledge of this, compared to me. She is also very kind and very caring, so if you need to ask anything else, shes your lady.

Hi,
you are saying that you have lump under your breast than you have to go to the specialist doctor of breast cancer he will give you right suggestion and about surgery also.

" The only thing you should ever surrender to is the power of your own enthusiasm."

Sorry Gillian only just read your post must have missed it somehow.I’m so sorry you were one of the unlucky ones and I am thinking of you and all the others on here who have been so kind to me. The waiting is agony because I might be worrying unduly but I suppose that’s a natural thing.I’m naturally a nervous person anyway and I thank everyone on here who’s given me support.I appreciate all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks Linda for explaining your symptoms feel a bit more alert today as I had quite a good nights sleep with the help of some painkillers.Did the mammagram hurt as you were sore anyway?I hope you dont mind me asking you questions but I didnt ask my doctor anything as I was so nervous I just bolted for the door lol.
love welshgal(Angela)

Hi Angela

Again the mammo is uncomfortable, the breast gets squashed and I am not exactly a small girl LOL as Jules will confirm, but it is bearable.

Ask all the questions you want, I will answer the best I can.

Linda

Thanks again I’m not a small girl either lol

Angela

Hi angela

just wondering how you are keeping, as I have been thinking about you

Hi Linda

Thenks for your concern my friends are coming down tonight for a drink or two lolI have been searching on the net and perhaps I have an abscess(well thats what i’m hoping anyway)but i’m thinking would the doctor have known that?

Anyway I’m putting that in my mind till Monday just to stop me worrying. Then when I know what it definitely is I can deal with it then.

Thanks again

Angela
