reasons for ca15-3 rise - blood transfusion?

Hi, I am new here - have secondary's in my lungs and taking capecitabine (Xeloda) for 6 cycles now with good results. But my last ca 15-3 rose from 164 to 200 after consistently going down. I had a blood transfusion about 2 weeks before the test and am wondering if this could be influencing it as I know inflammation can make it rise. Does anyone have any experience with this or any information as to wether there is a connection?
Thanks
Jaynie
