Hi have you had your scan results yet?

I got mine last Thursday and there is some improvement in the lung nodules with the current treatment - what a relief!!!

Thank you my primary was in 2007 and I had my reconstuction in 2012 so was obviously upset when after being taken off tamoxifen after 5 years in Jnaury 2013 I got the secondary diagnosis in February 2014 - only becuase a specialist lymphoedema doctor sent me for a pet scan so hopefully it was caught early and they can control it - I wish you the very best of luck with everything please stay in touch and let me know if I can help.

Hi - I am on Letrozole with zoladex injections and don't know if its working or not either. I was on tamoxifen with primaries but they don't think it worked for me (they did however take me off it early so I could try for children). I am also on herceptin and the perjeta trial so I'd like to think at least one of the damn drugs was doing its job!  They 'think' the last scan I had showed some progression but they weren't sure if some of it was due to the quality of the scan (brilliant)!. So being rescanned tomorrow ... I only finished chemo a few months ago so I'd like to think it hasn't all gone pear shaped already. This combination was supposed to keep me stable for years!  Good luck with your results!  xxx

Hi,mickeymouse,I'm on hormone treatment for SBC . I started off on tamoxifen which didn't work. Then at christmas was put on letrozole and zolodex injections to put me into menopause. I haven't a clue if it's working as TMs went up every month & have never has a scan since I was double whammied with primary and secondary at same time last June. I've just had my first mastectomy last week as new tumours were growing as if been fed grow more! But strange thing my tumour markers came down just before operation. But there are lots of ladies on hormones for SBC. When they work they work well and as good as chemo.

Hi is anybody going through hormone treatment for seconday berast cancer - I am on anastrazole tablets daily with zoladex injections every 4 weeks to suppress my ovaries - is anybody having this and and with what success?  My first scan to check on progress was last week and I get the results this thursday it would be great to hear from anybody.
