im coping on the hormone injections 2nd one tomorrow and tablets . i too feel anxious especially as i have had bad joint pain and although people keep telling me its a side effect of these i cant help but worry its the cancer again .im trying to stay positive i have appt with oncologist on jan 22nd .xx

Hi wend,my Xmas wasn't too bad, and I have been on tamoxifen for a month but found increasing bruise on my leg. And will have on appt with plastic surgeon in mid jan and another appt with oncologist in February if nothing happen in between, but I am still worried about my health and the recurrence.it is so hard. How do u cope so far? X

hi fiona i have had injections to stop ovaries working and apart from the menopausal hot flushes and mood swings im not too bad xx

Hi wend, it sounds all great. Our treatments are very similar then. Hope the hormone ones aren't too hard for you.

hi fiona im sorry you were told that i know thats a possibility but not everyone has reoccurence . hopefully we will be the lucky ones . i did not need radio after all have just started zoladex injections and my hormones in 2 weeks xx

Hi deelush, lots of lady with bc do have reoccurance with 10 years. And that's why we are put on tamoxifen for the years. I know lots lady stii living with secondary cancer and doing well. But we need to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Hi ladies i have just been reading through your thread and its nice to see you have been supporting each other through it all, but can i just say how utterly stunned i am at fionas comments about being told that your  cancer will be back in ten years, i cant beleive someone has told you this, 

is there a reason why you have been told this, i think its a very negative comment for anyone to be told this and i fail to see how anyone can determine whats goin to happen in ten years time except maybe god, so i dont undersrtand how you have been told this,  are you sure that you didnt miss understand somerhing that has been said to your about your diagnosis please ask your specialists again for reasurance on these facts, as i feel it is the most negative thing to be told this when noone know what will happen, and its not a very positive comment if it has come from the proffesionals.

Cus I was told the cancer will be back in about 10 years, so wondering if I will be lucky enough to live till my son old enough to have his own family.

Hi wend, my line has been taken out today, and my chemo is finally officially finished now. I have been referred to counselling during my chemo, so I am managing well with my emotion even when chemo is done. My son is very happy that my line is out, and he said I could turn into a normal mum again. And yesterday he wrote a letter to Santa and sent it out. My nest step is tamoxifen start on 1st dec and reviewed at the end of january. Have u started your radio yet? Any Xmas plan?Xxx

Hi wend, how u feeling. My main problem so far is the tiredness. And I have an appointment on Monday to take the line out and after that my chemo is completely done. X

really struggling think the last one is the worst one just glad no more .my oncologist says takes about 6 months to a year for it to go from your system xx

my cancer was a lobular cancer hes querying radiotherapy cause i had 3 lymph nodes positive .xx

i saw new consultant today as mine has left . now hes saying i may need radiotherapy after all and hes also mentioned different hormones . am seeing him in 2 weeks to discuss it again xx

Hi wend, just tiredness as usual. Been out for dressing today and still need to be dressed every week until tube taken out, bit annoying.hope the energy can go back up ASAP, as my mum is leaving next Monday and I need to do everything all by myself again. Yes, I feel very nauseous and not very well this time and been in bed since back home. My hair actually started to grow since 4th and now it is about 1 inch long, but I used to have long hair so will expect wearing wig for about one year before it grows long enough. X

hi fiona can you believe we did it . 18 weeks thank god its finished . hope they take the line out quickly for you . ive not felt well but keep thinking well its the last one . i have my appt with onc next wednesday to discuss hormones . has your hair started to grow cause ive noticed mine is starting to sprout which is another positive sign xx

Hi wend, last one done today, now just need to go to hospital every week for line flushing until I have the appointment for taking out the line, and that will be it. Xx how u feeling so far?

great news i had my last one today yippee very tired now and feel very sick but cant believe its over .its a weird feeling to think im not going there every 3 weeks a little scary too chemo nurse said thats normal to feel like that . glad you not having radiotherapy and we are both having tamoxifen so will be able to compare effects of that too . hope your little boy ok and just think soon you will be back to doing everything you want to do with him xx

Hi wend, saw onc today and was told no need radio. And next Thursday will be my final chemo, and after three weeks, tube will be taken out and start tamoxifen , woo hoo...

i am not having radiotherapy because as the oncologist explained today because i had a mastectomy and all breast tissue was taken it was not needed . he is going to see me on 11 nov and i will be started on tamoxifen for the next 5 yrs xx

Yes, I feel very tired this round too. So hard to raise my legs due to low energy. And have painful joints too.Have u found out your next treatment yet? When i started chemo, I think 18 weeks is far too long, but once we concentrate on the treatment, time flies! Yes , I just have 6 fec , last one will be 6th nov.

im the same really tired and still very sore joints . im glad you not too ill . i have my onc appt today at 11 to discuss further treatment . my last one all being well next friday cant believe how fast the last 18 weeks has gone . have you had just 6 fec xx

My 5th isn't too bad, mainly the tiredness and stayed in bed since first day and it's day 8 today , energy seems backing up a bit. I will see my onc next Friday to discuss further treatment. How about u? So pleased that we all reaching the finish line soon

You start to become paranoid of all germs don't you . The oncologist gave me emend for the sickness . Hope you are feeling well xx

They just gave me the steriods for anti sickness, I have some minor nausea , but bearable so far. I will see my oncologist to discuss further treatment after my 5th cycle which is on 31st oct. My boy is ok so far but today he sneezes a lot. Am a bit worried, will see anyway. On the bus, I saw so many people coughing, it was so scary.

Hi fiona glad you ok what did they give you for anti sickness . They changed mine this time and it was better still felt sicky but not as bad . Nice to see the end in sight . What is your plan after the chemo . How's your little boy hope he's avoiding all the usual school bugs at this time . X

Yippee,wend,2/3done.now it my day 3, feel ok, still be able to go around the house just bit nausea, but it gets worse by each cycle..hope u feel better today.xxx
