stomach cramps

Hi everyone

I had my first epirubicin on Friday and have been fairly well since except for awful stomach cramps especially through the night. I t feels like bad indigestion although I have never had indigestion before or trapped wind or something and then every hour or so I need to go to the loo . The chemo nurse says as long as everything is moving and i am not constipated that it is good but it is getting a bit painful. Anyone else had similar and is it likely to last. I got domperidone tabs on Friday but they make it worse and apparently are just for nausea (which i havent had much of).

Thanks for any advice - should I be eating anything special?

Hello Ruth

I had similar pains with diarrhoea when I was on Taxotere. My onc told me not to take domperidone as they hasten things to pass through the gut. she told me to buy some Immodium over the counter. that did the trick very quickly.

I also have Pantoprazole on prescription which helps with very acidy stomach and indigestion.
